Two Idiots discuss movies and media in an effort to make a better life for their dog.
Meet the Dog:
Kaiju is the brains of the operation.
Best guess she is a Black Mouth Cur mix, she came in to Zolgar's life when his mother found her on the street. Zolgar agreed to keep her temporarily.
Kaiju promptly declared that Zolgar belonged to her and he was powerless to argue.
We tried to have Kaiju on the podcast, but she kept eating the microphones.
She's also not very opinionated about movies.
Meet the Idiots:
Grimm is a giant nerd and professional dork whose passions include fiction, gaming, and unchecked chaotic world building. Since he has OpinionsTM on most media, this seemed a good fit.
Zolgar is a media junky who grew up on a diet of scifi movies and fantasy novels, which may explain why he never really grew up. He has an unhealthy love of terrible sci-fi and creature feature films, which he loves inflicting upon Grimm. Shark movies especially hold a special place in his heart.

Idiots Unleashed: Idiot Movie Pitches
You asked for it, and we delivered. Six ideas for movies straight out of the Idiots' heads!
This idea originally came up during the big Hollywood writer's strike, we joked about pitching our own ideas to Hollywood. (We would never actually scab like that though, and the folks on our Discord decided it sounded like a good idea...
So here we have a few ideas, mostly coming from our writing folders, that we think would make good, or at least entertaining movies.

Idiots Unleashed: The Game Awards
Join the Idiots, a little late to the party as usual, as they discuss the Game Awards, which much to Zolgar's chagrin don't include tabletop games.
We're back! Finally. The Idiots managed to both get sick at the same time and it took longer than expected for them to recover, but don't worry they're still just as stupid as ever!
This week, the Idiots talk about the Game Awards. Well, Grimm talks about the Game Awards and Zolgar makes snarky comments because he rarely plays new AAA titles anymore.

Idiots Unleashed: The Fandom Is Wrong
Join the Idiots as they discuss the toxicity and general bullheadedness of a certain subset of media fans.
We've all been there. We've been excited about a piece of media, or we've been pissed off at a piece of media, or anywhere in between. We've probably said some things that maybe shouldn't have been said, or at least should have been phrased better.
Most of us try to be cognizant about this behavior though and keep it from becoming a toxic trait. Some fans though seem to revel in this behavior and the toxicity it brings.
When that happens, the fandom is, well... Wrong.

Serial Idiocy: Trigun Stampede
Join the Idiots as they discuss the remake/reboot/reimagining of the 1998 anime icon, Trigun.
We were a little hesitant about Trigun Stampede when we first heard about it. Grimm especially had some 'old bun yells at clouds' moments with the design choices and the animation style.
But we decided to sit down and watch it and, spoiler alert, we're both very glad we did. Released early in 2023, Trigun Stampede tells a new version of the story of Vash the Stampede, Nicholas D. Wolfwood, and Meryl Stryfe, and does a good job appealing to fans of the original, while still making it approachable for new fans and a younger audience.
In short, it's good. Go watch it.

Idiots Unleashed: Storytelling in Video Games
Join the Idiots as they discuss the age old question: Are video games art?
Since the dawn of time, or at least the dawn of video games, people have denied that they are art, dismissed them as a medium for telling deep and meaningful stories.
Somehow, despite many examples to the contrary that are available today, some still argue this point. Some still refuse to accept that video games are just as legitimate a media for conveying stories and ideas as books and movies.

Great show.
Found this show and haven’t stopped listening. The banter between the two hosts is delightful. I loved that they have a whole episode about plot holes in Star Wars. Zolgar’s solo episodes about comics are great quick listens too. I am a Saga fanatic and loved his quick talk about it.
