Customer Reviews
Thank you so much!!
I am currently in my first year of accounting school. I started off as a business management major but fell in love with accounting. I currently attend a junior college but afterwards will be going to a bachelors program. I am unable to get the VA to pay for a masters degree. But for right now I have my sights set on public accounting. But I’m so looking forward to hearing the experience differences between public and private as you both gain experience and insight.
Refreshing energy
I listen to many accounting podcasts and YouTube channels, and it’s refreshing to finally hear one coming from younger people.
The majority of accounting podcasts feel more like CPE lectures or expert panels. Even when they contain interesting info, the way it’s presented is often devoid of personality and excitement. That’s fine for experienced accountants, but for new people, it's an audio sleeping pill. (Not good for a field already stereotyped as boring.)
Becky and Norma conversations are the opposite. They clearly have lots of enthusiasm about their new accounting careers, and this energy alone could attract new young audience members who are thinking of joining the field.
I hope they bring on more guests their age to discuss their interests, questions, experiences, and hopefully, their personalities trigger more interest in others. Accounting media definitely needs more of it.
The struggle is real
Stumbled across this podcast & gave it a listen. Completely relatable as far as the work life balance & having the mental fortitude to sit for cpa exam. In the same boat myself. Will listen to future episodes.
