The Transformative Power of Sexual Fantasies with Artemisia

The Transformative Power of Sexual Fantasies with Artemisia

Episode76: The Transformative Power of Sexual Fantasies with Artemisia Explicit
Today my special guest is Artemisia de Vine.
Sexual Fantasy expert who teaches the world's leading sexperts the meaning of our sexual fantasies, and how to bring them out of our heads and into our beds! Author of upcoming book: The Spirituality of Smut: The surprising wisdom of sexual fantasies.
Certified somatic sexologist, BA in anthropology and former sex worker and professional dominatrix.
Offering a groundbreaking new theory! Understand how stories work and you understand why we have sexual fantasies - and how to create powerful, real-life transformative sexperiences that satisfy the real desire behind the story symbolism.
Today we talk about Sexual Fantasies and how it has been so stigmatized. Fantasies are not just for healing, they are also there to tell us how to let go and have deep pleasure. Our ego resists changes in states of conciousness which is why we often gets stuck in our head. We are often afraid of letting go and being vulnerable. Fantasy gives us the key to unlocking our consciousness and gives you deep permission to let go, feel, and surrender.
All good sex takes surrendering to some level. Peak experiences are often described as getting lost in the moment. We want this for you.
I want you to first of all, allow yourself to have desires and fantasies and then learn to accept them as perfectly ok. This is so important in my work. I don't want you to escape and fill a void, I want you to be fully authentic and alive with confidence.

Breaking the Cycle of Sexual Avoidance w/ Katie Ziskind

Breaking the Cycle of Sexual Avoidance w/ Katie Ziskind

Episode75: Breaking the Cycle of Sexual Avoidance w/ Katie Ziskind Explicit
Today my special guest is Katie Ziskind.
Katie specializes in coaching disconnected couples who want to stay together and want to work together after high conflict fights, anger issues, affairs, sexual avoidance, and sexual rejection to develop a foundation of emotional connection, trust, and love. She supports couples who struggle with infidelity and need an affair recovery specialist that takes them through specific steps to attune to each other. Intimacy is all about being emotionally vulnerable to build a closer relationship. We don’t learn emotional expression skills growing up.
She says, "I help couples grow together through life transitions and stressors like infertility, becoming new parents, having a child with special needs, loss and grief, dealing with chronic pain, alcoholism, becoming empty nesters, and do so while reducing criticism, hurt, and conflict. I help couples feel safe and excited emotionally and build a strong bond, and grow together. I help couples gain sex positive skills to understand foreplay, sexual pleasure, rebuild sexual desire, connect to their sexual, erotic playful side. I give you a safe place to talk about how your strict, conservative, religious upbringing has lead to feelings of shame, guilt, fear, avoidance, lack of satisfaction, and anxiety around sex and shift into reconnecting to sexual pleasure. I help couples get familiar and comfortable talking about emotions, needs, expectations emotionally and gain sex positive education. I have a podcast available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify called, “All Things Love and Intimacy.” I am Gottman level 2 trained, Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP), and couples specialist."
Today we discuss the difference between male and female arousal tendencies. Did you know that female bodies need 45 - 90 min of foreplay for full arousal while male bodies need only 4 - 8 minutes to reach full engorgement? Well, most people are not aware of this.
This week we have a conversation about spontanious versus responsive arousal and sex drives. Sexual avoidance happens when there is a mismatch in sex drives and a lack of emotional intimacy. How to we end the cycle of Sexual Avoidance and to bring back Sexual Intimacy? Well, we need a balance between emoational intimacy and physical intimacy.
It's so important to create safety in a relationship and today we give you some strategies that can help bring back that spark.

    The Cost of Conformity

    The Cost of Conformity

Episode74: The Cost of Conformity Explicit
Today my special guest is Carrie Jeroslow.
Best-selling author and Relationship Diversity Advocate, Carrie Jeroslow, is passionate about bringing intentionality into intimate relationships by releasing the programming of what we’re taught relationships SHOULD be and shifting to what we really WANT them to be.
Her podcast, Relationship Diversity Podcast, aims to explore, question, and celebrate all aspects of relationship structure diversity This is an inclusive space, giving people the permission to design their unique relationships from the knowledge and acceptance of their unique selves.
She has been seen on NBC, PBS, The CW, featured in, Winston Salem Journal, Prevention and Newsweek, and has been interviewed by Marianne Williamson, Go All In TV, The ListTV, and many others to share her message, as well as her first book, Why Do They Always Break Up with Me?
Just from reading her Bio you can see that we are so aligned in our missions. Today we talk about preserving our energy, people pleasing and the dangers of conformity. Why is it dangerous to conform? Isn't it important to belong and make sure that we are following the rules?
Our society is built on certain rules to follow when it comes to relationships and sexuality. Many of us have been taught to follow these rules with no regard to our own intuition or discomfort. We are not taught to ask ourselves what we would like, what we enjoy, what our needs are, etc... We are taught to put our heads down, hustle, do what you are told and conform so that everybody can get along and so that society can be easier to manage. The thing is, many people are living out a program that does fit them or even meet their needs. We have an epidemic of mental health issues and dissatisfaction. Past generations were not taugh about the correlation between our physical and mental health with the joy in our lives.
We are told that marriage to one person forever is the only way to live "Happily Ever After." However, this is false. Very few people actually have healthy marriages and relationships. There is so much infidelity and we are taught that sexuality is shameful and desiring it is even worse. Is it any wonder that we are suffering to be authentic in our world?
There is a serious cost to conformity even if you don't realize it.

Loving the Life You Have with Nina Powell

Loving the Life You Have with Nina Powell

Episode73: Loving the Life You Have with Nina Powell Explicit
Today my special guest is Nina Powell.
Purposed with infectious inspiration, Nina is the founder of the Wild, Divine, Orgasmic Leadership Movement. Nina is sharing her liberation with the world's most impeccable women through individual and group experiences and retreats. Her clients, the bravest of women; enjoy amazing connections to their body, feel exquisite levels of self-expression, and step into their power like nobody's business. These women access their true inner goddess, magnetize their desires, and hold a divine magnetism that brings them an impenetrable inner joy and peace.
"When my inner world transformed I realised much of my thinking of this or that not being right was my nervous system being bound up with the past. It was causing me to want to run. Fight, flight or freeze are the only solutions that our ancient brain structures have.
Truth can only come once we've transformed our inner world and reclaimed our life force.
Then we find that it’s possible to both create an amazing life AND enjoy it!"

Our conversation today went in many directions but at the heart of it, we discussed not just creating the life you want but actually loving the life you have as the catalyst for change. When we love being ourselves and love our life even when it isn't exactly how we want it, we start to create the very life we desire. When we learn to enjoy each moment and bring pleasure into our lives, we start to notice and experience things we never noticed before. When we get out of our heads and into our bodies we start to feel and experience life at a different level.
Life becomes a new adventure that we can embark on with curiousity. We can experience joy in the little things that we would never have noticed before. Pleasure is a birthright but we have been taught that it is irresponsible or an extra in life, however, without pleasure, life becomes mundane and difficult. We are built to enjoy pleasure, sensation, and joy but our society and all of it's rules have shut us down from the experience of truly living!

A Former JW's Journey to Self Love and ENM

A Former JW's Journey to Self Love and ENM

Episode72: A Former JW's Journey to Self Love and ENM Explicit
Today my special guest is Ariel.
I will keep her anonymous as she was kind enough to share her vulnerable story with us and allow me to interview her.
This beautiful girl has had quite a journey growing up as a Jehovah's Witness and eventually leaving the church. There is so much shame associated with leaving a religion that is deep rooted since childhood. When you are taught that you have the absolute truth, your mission on earth is to basically tell others they are wrong your whole life. It's exhausting and it is a challenge to truly love without expectation.
You are taught that self love is selfish and that you must love only God/Jehovah, or your life is basically meaningless and you risk being shunned and ostricized by the only community you have know if you question anything.
Ariel was able to leave and rebuild her worldview as well. She has learned to deeply treasure herself and has overcome the shame around sexuality and body image. Modesty is revered in these communities and anything else is sinful. It is so hard to shed that programming and become sex positive.
Now, she is a beautiful example of self love and successful Ethical Non-Monogamy. She is able to embrace who she is to her core and make deep lasting connections with people in this beautiful world that are based on love and true authenticity.
I want this for all of you! Enjoy this week's episode.
