Rātana has long been a Labour Party stronghold, but the Prime Minister was challenged on Friday to prove what her year of delivery has achieved for Māori.

Pt England reserve compromise a 'win-win' - iwi

An Auckland iwi displaced from its land for 180 years has called a compromise on the future of Pt England reserve a "win-win".
Ngāti Paoa is forgoing an almost 12 hectare property development at Pt England, after locals raised concerns about losing green space in Tāmaki Makaurau back in 2017.
Instead, the iwi will get an extra two hectares for their mārae and papakāinga housing - but those who campaigned are still not convinced these plans won't disrupt the environment.
    Meriana Johnsen reports.
