Ep 646 - A Bear Called Paddington, by Michael Bond
The Overdue boys celebrate Children's Book Week by discussing A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond.
-
Ep 645 - Sharp Objects, by Gillian Flynn
Did you know that before Gillian Flynn brought us the book Gone Girl, the movie Gone Girl, and the concept of "Gone Girl-ing" someone, she wrote a murder mystery about a different kind of unhealthy family dynamic!
-
Ep 644 - Persepolis, by Marjane Satrapi
This episode is about Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis, the complete edition containing both The Story of a Childhood and The Story of a Return.
-
Ep 643 - Holes, by Louis Sachar
Holes! We all need 'em, we all love 'em. This is a book where a boy is sentenced to dig a bunch of holes out in the desert because he was accused and convicted of a crime he didn't commit.
-
Ep 642 - Last Night at the Telegraph Club, by Malinda Lo
Lo's award-winning novel seeks to shine a light on marginalized experiences from mid-century San Francisco. What's most impressive is how she's synthesized all of her research into a couple of fresh, compelling characters - allowing the story to honor the historical record without feeling overly bound by it.
Our theme music was composed by Nick Lerangis.

Love the format
Always worth listening to, I have listened to episodes about books I never intend to read because I love Andrew and Craigs banter. I don’t always agree with their opinions but if we all liked the same stuff, life would be pretty boring.
Move on
Tried to listen to the episode on Comac McCarthys The Crossing. I’ll say this. These two guys love themselves and think they are funny. They know nothing about literature. Additionally if you have to warn me about the word Indian I’ve already dismissed your take. This is pure drivel.
they said nothing about the book
This is the worst podcast I’ve ever heard. This is just two want to be comedians, who are not funny in the word, peace episode they try to joke around about everything except the book. No discussion of it whatsoever. Just their little rips on Cliff Notes and how smart they are. Easily the worst podcast I’ve ever heard.
