With parkour (and freerunning) becoming more popular, more people are starting to recognize and understand the discipline, but who exactly are the people that do it? Join us as we try to find out by talking with different practitioners from across the country (and maybe the world?). Sometimes we'll talk about parkour, and sometimes anything but.

Today was no different.

Fantastic

I have perticipated in parkour scene since 2006. It was great reliving all those great influential videos that I had forgotten the name of. The show was also great for talking about the more emotional aspects of the change of attitude over the years. Overall really great and I believe it could be a way for the Traceurs to grow closer.

This was so influential

I've only been doing parkour for about 2 years and I'm definitely not that good at all. I've been in a group called DBPK(Daytona beach parkour) and there's only like 2 girls including me but this podcast makes me want to stop sitting around and actually do something to improve myself so that I can truly say that I am good at this. Please upload the next one and keep them coming cause this inspired me so much

Awesome

I guess I’ll be the first person to leave some love. As someone that’s been around parkour few years now, I could relate to so many of the things they were talking about. What I thought was particularly great was that the general message wasn’t about “parkour as a philosophy” which we’ve all heard time and time again. It was more about parkour as fun and play. It was really refreshing to hear. Also, I don’t know how I hadn’t heard of some of those videos, like Cambridge Joy. This podcast brought me out from under my rock.

Brian, my one piece of feedback is that though the format of you just sitting around and chatting with friends is a lot of fun to listen to, I think if you only stick with that it might limit where you can take the show. If you’re willing to do something over Skype and more of a Q and A, you could probably get some awesome people on.

I’ll also throw in a vote for “please don’t make us wait a month for the next episode". The conversation was just getting juicy.
