Nerds United 365: Fast Food Selections, X-Men, and a Sing-Song Joker

Nerds United 365: Fast Food Selections, X-Men, and a Sing-Song Joker

This week on Nerds United LIVE, Greg and Mike discuss some of the week’s headlines.
One of the bigger headlines of the week was the release of the Joker 2 trailer. As Joaquin Phoenix dons the makeup once again, he’s joined by Lady Gaga who will portray Harley Quinn. One of your beloved hosts made it through the trailer. The other gave up. But why?
Find out X-Men ’97 is a wild success on Disney+ and perhaps it is re-energizing the X-Men brand. he guys discuss the announcement of three X-titles set for release this summer, one of which is being written by a past guest on this very show.

Very excited to finally be able to say… IM WRITING PHOENIX! A new ongoing coming this July from myself and @alessandromirac. Huge thanks to @annalisebissa for allowing us to take Jean on this cosmic journey. And Yasmine Putri on covers. pic.twitter.com/OA5BBfiQUV

What have the guys been watching or reading? Get the latest in capes, cowls, and more from two guys who enjoy sharing their love of all things nerdy.
And last but not least, the most unfortunate timing for a headlining topic as the duo discusses which fast food restaurants to save. Why is today possibly the worst day for this category to pop up in the ongoing series? Because Greg went to the doctor…and the results are just so-so.

Nerds United 364: Space Ghost, Silver Surfer, 90s TV Shows!

Nerds United 364: Space Ghost, Silver Surfer, 90s TV Shows!

On the docket this week is the casting news of the Silver Surfer for the MCU’s Fantastic Four movie. Let’s just say…people got mad. Also, the Hanna Barbera character Space Ghost will be introduced to a new generation of potential fans, this time via a comic book that looks pretty stinking good.

Our main topic will be choosing five tv shows from the 1990s. This topic was provided to us last week by live viewer Fred. If you want to have direct influence on the show, you know what to do.

Nerds United 363: Cereals to Stay, Kaos, Unmade Batman Movies

Nerds United 363: Cereals to Stay, Kaos, Unmade Batman Movies

Greg and Mike catch each other up on comics they’ve read in the past week as well as any movies/tv shows they have watched in the last week.
Kristen Stewart says she will NEVER act in a Marvel movie UNLESS that movie is directed by one director in particular.
Netflix has a new series coming out which appears to center around Greek mythological gods in a modern setting. It stars Jeff Goldblum as Zeus, so it has that going for it.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire are both in theaters, so we’ll break down box office performance as well as fan reviews.
We all know that after Batman and Robin was poorly received and because of that, it was eight years until we saw the Caped Crusader on the big screen again. But there was a slew of unmade Batman movies that were pitched or in some form of development in the down time.
Finally, the guys continue their series of “Five Stay Alive,” this time with breakfast cereals. We can’t wait to see which ones you choose.

Also, the guys received an original graphic novel in the mail this week as Jason Copland’s Full Tilt campaign was fulfilled.

Nerds United 361: The 90s Had the Best Movies

Nerds United 361: The 90s Had the Best Movies

Let’s just say it now and get the heat out of the way…the 1990s was rich in movies. It was the dawn of the independent movie and still had plenty of big budget blockbusters. This week, Greg and Mike continue the series of giving each other movies which the other has to “save” their favorites.
Also, The Crow remake, Venom 3, and the X-Men ’97 showrunner parting ways with Disney+ less than two weeks before the series debuts.
Also, for the benefit of the viewers on YouTube, a couple brief cameos.
    Be kind.

Nerds United 360: The DC Version of “Keep Five”

Nerds United 360: The DC Version of “Keep Five”

This week on Nerds United, Greg and Mike are back and are talking about DC movies. Mike and Greg each chose 15 DC movies for the other to review and determine which five need to be kept and which ones can be dumped.
Mike did Greg dirty. The options Greg was given were largely horrible movies (with a few exceptions). Greg tried to find different titles and improve the overall quality of the movies provided.
That’s not all the guys talked about. Greg cleaned out some space to organize his comic books and here’s what he pulled out of a bedroom closet:

Whilst cleaning and organizing, Greg did find a coveted comic book. He looked in every box until he found…

A couple trailers were dropped recently for a movie and a series that are based on wildly popular video games.
    First – Borderlands:

    Second – Fallout:

The guys talked a little bit about Aquaman 2 after watching it on Max finally. You know what that means..
Next week: DUNE! (Not Dune 2, no one has time for that.)
Also next week, since we’ve picked Marvel movies, DC movies, and 80s movies, we’re going to choose 5 movies from the 90s to preserve.
    As always…
    Be kind.
