Feel Better in Nature featuring Ian Chadwick, nature educator and park ranger, Joshua Tree National Park Power Your Story

    • Society & Culture

Ian Chadwick joined us online all the way from California, where he works as a ranger in Joshua Tree National Park.
Before that Ian lived in Chicago and worked as nature educator in different places.
He shares his own story of why he grew to love nature, why he thinks it's important to connect with it even if you live in the city, and why we should protect our natural environment.
He recommends Every Kid Outdoors, a program through the National Parks to give free passes or checking out your local park district.
And for those of us living in and around Chicago, Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Garfield Park Conservatory, Lincoln Park Zoo (especially the African Penguins), North Park Village Nature Center, and the nearby Indiana Dunes National Park.
Nature is one of producer Mark's favorite things and he produced this episode with Joel, Al, and Elvis, Edward, and Justus.

On season 6 of Power Your Story, our theme is "My Favorite Things."
