Ep.50—Brandy Goff—“It’s What I Want and It’s What Makes Me Happy”

Brandy Goff is an automotive technician in Maryland. She has over 7 years of experience in the field, but her love for cars began when she was a young girl watching her father and grandfather work on their racing car projects in their garage. The world of automotive was not Brandy’s first career choice, but as she explored further, her passion pulled her in! Brandy’s dream was not immediately supported by her loved ones, but she persisted remembering that, “It’s what I wanted and it’s what makes me happy”. Join us in this episode for one of our most open and REAL conversations yet as Brandy talks about how gender roles affected her career aspirations early in life, about how she constantly juggles sexual harassment issues in the workplace, and about how societal norms contributes to it all!

Fantastic message and podcast

This podcast is a perfect representation of women supporting and empowering women. Jayme and her guests pass along such valuable advice to the younger generation of Femcanic’s. I wish this type of positive message was around for me to hear when I was first starting out as an auto mechanic. When I was a guest I felt so comfortable speaking with Jayme. She made me feel so supported and safe when sharing very sensitive stories about my experiences in the automotive industry. Thanks so much Femcanic garage!

Love what femcanics is about

I was on one of the episodes and it was an amazing and easy experience compared to other podcast and videos I’ve done with other organizations. What femcanics stands for is amazing and every female mechanic needs to listen to her podcast.
