Listen in as we offer our reactions, insights and headcanons on episodes 8 and 9 of the third season of Discovery, all while our guests fill in the gaps with those good good science facts and observations.
Star Trek Discovery | Season 3, Episodes 6 & 7: “Scavengers” & “Unification III”
Today on the podcast we’re halting the turbolift for special guests Charlie Jane Anders and Trace Dominguez to discuss episodes 6 and 7 of season 3 of Star Trek Discovery. Tune in as we give our (mixed) reactions to this pair of episodes, including head cannon plot-hole repair, lore references going all the way back to the original series, and why everything is better with a cat.

Star Trek Discovery | Season 3, Episodes 2 & 3: “Far From Home” & “People of Earth”
Season 3 of Discovery is getting goooooood, and joining Anita to discuss all the ways we enjoyed episodes 2 & 3 are special guests and Women Who Warp: Jarrah Hodge and Sarah Gulde. Join us we share our thoughts on characters old and new, make some season predictions, and even experience the catharsis of a good cry. If you’re here for The Hair Report make sure to listen until the end of the podcast where Ebony makes a brief appearance to share her…ah…thoughts.
Sassy Black Women Bring It
I’ve been listening to this podcast since about halfway through season 2 of Discovery and i have to say that listening to two sassy black women review star trek is the point of view that I didn’t know i needed. But now i do. As a bald white man, the “Hair Report” kind of confused me at first, but now i find myself watching all kinds of tv and “T’sking” about ethnic hair choices.
Best STD recap podcast there is
Best STD recap podcast there is. I love their perspective.
Needed a new discovery pod in my life - found a great one!
I love the dynamic between the hosts and their guests. Their variance of opinion keeps the show very interesting and makes you think about Discovery eps in new ways.
Also - I haven’t watched much (any really) of TOS but in a recent episode Ebony mentioned the intense scene of the Enterprise blowing up and I just had to check it out. Safe to say, I’ll definitely be looking into more older Trek now!
