Star Trek Discovery | Season 4, Episodes 12 & 13: “Species 10-C” & “Coming Home”
It’s the season finale of Feminist Frequency’s Star Trek Podcast as Ebony returns to discuss the final two episodes of Star Trek Discovery, season 4. Listen in as she and Anita catch up on how they’ve been feeling about the season overall, and make sure you stick around for The Hair Report!
Star Trek Discovery | Season 4, Episodes 10 & 11: “The Galactic Barrier” & “Rosetta”
Season 4 of Discovery is drawing to a close, and joining Anita to discuss how (un?)successfully it’s approaching that conclusion are returning special guests and Women at Warp: Jarrah Hodge and Sarah Gulde.
Star Trek Discovery | Season 4, Episodes 8 & 9: “All In” & “Rubicon”
After a lengthy mid-season break, STAR TREK DISCOVERY season 4 is back and so are we! Joining Anita are two exciting returning guests: clinical psychologist Ali Mattu and NASA engineer Bobak Ferdowsi, both with impressive Star Trek credentials (such as having actually watched DS9). We had an awesome episode with them during season 3 of Disco, so we’re jazzed to have them back. This episode has special video access exclusively for Patreon supporters, so be sure to check out the link posted on patreon.com/femfreq
Star Trek Discovery | Season 4, Episodes 6 & 7: “Stormy Weather” & “…But to Connect”
If you like Youtubers, Trekkies, and Trekkie Youtubers, this is your episode. Anita is joined by special guests Steve Shives and Jessie "Gender" Earl to discuss episodes 6 and 7. Listen in as they share their thoughts on the first half of the season (including the, so far, stellar handling of mental health issues), their hopes and speculations for the second half of the season (like the morally grey question of how to stop the DMA), who we’re star-shipping as a couple this season (you might be rooting for them too), and most controversially, Jonathan Frakes’ direction of episode 6 (gasp!) All this and more on today’s episode of Feminist Frequency’s Star Trek Podcast!
Star Trek Discovery | Season 4, Episodes 4 & 5: “All Is Possible” & “The Examples”
Writer, journalist, and returning guest Laura Hudson, and author, comedian, and new-to-the-podcast special guest Leighann Lord have both beamed aboard to join Anita in discussing episodes 4 & 5 of the 4th season of Star Trek: Discovery. Together we talk about our feelings on the season so far and dive into the finer points of these episodes’ strengths and weaknesses.
Star Trek Discovery | Season 4, Episodes 2 & 3: “Anomaly” & “Choose to Live”
They’ve been guests of our podcasts in the past, but today Anita is excited to welcome both co-hosts of the Our Opinions Are Correct Podcast to the same episode of Feminist Frequency’s Star Trek Podcast: Annalee Newitz and Charlie Jane Anders. Together we discuss episodes 2 and 3 of season 4 of Discovery.
Sassy Black Women Bring It
I’ve been listening to this podcast since about halfway through season 2 of Discovery and i have to say that listening to two sassy black women review star trek is the point of view that I didn’t know i needed. But now i do. As a bald white man, the “Hair Report” kind of confused me at first, but now i find myself watching all kinds of tv and “T’sking” about ethnic hair choices.
Best STD recap podcast there is
Best STD recap podcast there is. I love their perspective.
Needed a new discovery pod in my life - found a great one!
I love the dynamic between the hosts and their guests. Their variance of opinion keeps the show very interesting and makes you think about Discovery eps in new ways.
Also - I haven’t watched much (any really) of TOS but in a recent episode Ebony mentioned the intense scene of the Enterprise blowing up and I just had to check it out. Safe to say, I’ll definitely be looking into more older Trek now!
