EP 25: The “M” Word: Money - The Real Elephant In The Room with Guest Lynda Sunshine West

Lynda is the Founder & CEO of Action Takers Publishing, a Speaker, 22 time #1 International Bestselling Author, Executive Film Producer, Red Carpet Interviewer, and Philanthropist. She ran away at 5 years old and was gone an entire week. She came home riddled with fears and, in turn, became a people-pleaser. At age 51, she decided to face one fear every day for an entire year. In doing so, she gained an exorbitant amount of confidence and now uses what she learned to fulfill her mission of empowering 5 million women and men to write their stories.

During our chat with Lynda, we talked about her journey to leave corporate to follow her dreams and passions after 36 years (and 49 jobs) in corporate, how she jumped, without a net, to become an entrepreneur, her decision to break through one fear every day for an entire year in 2015 (at age 51), the scariest fear she broke through, the pros and cons of jumping without a net, and mentorship (and how to find the right one for you).

EP 24: Shut Out The Noise And Tune Into What Works For You With Guest Amy Flo-Yo Flores-Young

EP 24: Shut Out The Noise And Tune Into What Works For You With Guest Amy Flo-Yo Flores-Young

Amy Flores-Young (Flo-Yo) is the founder of FloYo Travel and the creator of the IMPACT Retreat Roadmap. Amy ensures her clients, soul-centered coaches, consultants and speakers, experience joyful travel as they go to and from events and conferences to grow their businesses. Amy also helps her clients create in-person events and retreats that result in deeper connection with their communities, a larger reach and impact for their unique methodology/body of work, and a profitable event. As a former facilitator herself, she knows how difficult it is to manage the endless logistics while being the “face” of the room. Amy has perfected the art of weaving together the ultimate location and itinerary that both engages and energizes your guests.

During our chat with Amy, we talked about why she chose to do things differently (against the grain), why she is "ok" with NOT having a big change-the-world mission, how she learned why many in-person retreat events fail (or aren't truly profitable), and how she learned to cut out the noise and shiny objects to tune into what works for her.

Be sure to check out Amy’s website for all of her awesome free resources and listen to the episode for her discount code for $100 (per adult traveler) on any travel booking/service!

EP 22: The Journey from Employee to Entrepreneur with Guest Terrie Hanscom

EP 22: The Journey from Employee to Entrepreneur with Guest Terrie Hanscom

Terrie is the owner and practitioner of Positive Vybes and hails from Beverly, Massachusetts. Terrie graduated from the nursing program at North Shore Community College in 1988 and has truly found it to be a joy working and `raising’ some of the most talented surgeons in the country, including Dr. Atul Gawande, over the last 30 years. During that time, she also observed patients coming into the Operating Room full of anxiety, fearful, and a little to a lot stressed. Then, about 15 years ago she took a workshop on preoperative meditations and liked the premise so much, she started implementing it at her institution and ran the program until she retired in August 2022.

Over the years she’s taken classes, done the research, and finally developed her own program: The +VYBES (Visualize Your Best Elective Surgery) program. This program incorporates clinical meditation and imagery along with energetic body work, assisting patients in balancing their body physically as well as emotionally.

Among many other certifications, she is certified as a Usui Reiki Master Teacher.

During our episode with Terrie we talked about the challenges she faced going from corporate to entrepreneur, the money mindset hurdle for what to charge, and the importance of learning the basic foundational business strategies. Terrie is offering our Listener’s 10% off their first session of Meditation For Surgery. She is also offering a Free Meditation Class On March 7th, as well as a Free Meditation Video Download.

EP 21: Why and How To Never Give Up with Guest Diane Bedard

Diane is a publisher, award-winning professional writer and communicator, and connector of people. She has survived major trauma and self-induced calamity, and gratefully works to enjoy each day and each encounter with joy. She loves people and nature and is in awe of God’s creation. She has discovered, for her, it is easier to create a job than get a job.

During our episode with Diane, we talked about her journey as an employee that led her to a fateful day where she was attacked by an elephant, why she started NatureCoaster.com, the challenges she faced - physically, mentally, and socially, and how finding a mentor has been a huge benefit to her. Don’t miss her invitation to receive her award-winning writing straight to your email inbox - you can sign up for her free Ezine on her website.
