So good; I wish I had had this idea!

I studied film in college and loved every second of it, but outside of the department it's hard for me to have an in-depth conversation with people about film because so many of my friends have only seen the big blockbusters and don't have patience to expand their viewership (no shade on my friends, because they're wonderful, but I think I need some new ones who like films as much as I do.) I stumbled upon this podcast after watching Bandersnatch and wondering where I might have seen Will Poulter before, and by chance watched the video recording of the live BFI show where he was the guest. One thing led to another, and now I'm binging all the episodes! It's so nice to hear people talk about their favorite films, discovering some more obscure titles I had never seen through them, and hearing Brett Goldstein's take and factoids about some of the films. To be honest, he sounds a lot like me animatedly talking to my friends about my favorite films; the difference is his guests are usually interested, and my friends just end up calling me a bit of a film snob (all in good humor.) I guess I'll work on being famous enough to be on the show, then, right?? I have answers I don't think people have listed yet... ;) Keep up the great work!

Absolutely brilliant

This podcast is at once insanely funny and incredibly moving. It can have you crying with laughter one minute and then reflecting on the movies and moments in your life that have been most memorable, the next. But most importantly it has totally reinvigorated my love of movies. Brett Goldstein is the best podcast host I’ve heard to date, not only bc of his encyclopedic knowledge of film, but also because, as an interviewer, he LISTENS so well. Hysterical, touching, unique and educational.
