The Intimacy Experts | All Feedback Is Love

The Intimacy Experts | All Feedback Is Love

    Here’s to living in LOVE!
This week’s pod is the first time I’m bringing on a guest for the second time, but this time her partner joins us as well: Marla Mattenson and Julian Colker, better known as The Intimacy Experts. They are internationally celebrated visionaries, drawing from a unique background in neuroscience, mathematics, and emotional intelligence. Marla and Julian guide their clients to learn to live in harmony in relationships, business, and to amplify their impact, income, and intimacy. This powerhouse couple is co-creating a world where full expression, heartfelt appreciation, and wild play are the backbone of success in business and life.
In this episode, Marla and Julian share some awesome nuggets throughout this entire conversation that you can immediately apply to your life. We talk in-depth about the idea that all feedback is love – yes, even internet trolls’ comments. But especially when you’re in a tense moment and truly triggered, all feedback is love once we return to the intention of a pristine, pure soul. With this, Marla and Julian talk about how to expand your definition of love, what it means to receive negativity thrown your way and transmute it as love, and how love can sprout from any situation.
This was one of the juiciest, most fulfilling conversations I’ve had in a long time. You’re going to love it.
    Some Questions I Ask:
How are internet trolls’ feedback actually love? (20:03)How do you define love? (36:31)How has moment in history that’s hopefully transforming humanity impacted your personal lives and business? (39:17)
In This Episode, You Will Learn:
Why all feedback is love. (18:12)How to take the aggression that comes at you and transmute it as love. (25:21)How to expand your view of what love is. (28:25)How a moment of horror can spur a trend of love. (36:44)How to cultivate more intimacy within your relationships. (43:05)How simply asking questions and checking in can transform the communication in relationships. (50:41)

Daniel Gibson | How to Be Intentional with Race

Daniel Gibson | How to Be Intentional with Race

Here’s to doing the right thing!
This pod features a long-overdue guest, but this conversation comes at exactly the right time. You’ll meet one of my best friends of 26 years: the incredible Daniel Gibson. Daniel, a graduate from Yale, is a passionate community leader and advocate for social justice, who spent the last 15 years championing causes to eradicate racism and poverty in the United States. He’s created and implemented nationally recognized programs for jail and prison reform, affordable housing, access to medical care for the chronically homeless, HIV/AIDS prevention and LGBTQ+ rights. He’s dedicated to addressing the root causes of economic and health disparities experienced by vulnerable and marginalized communities.
Throughout this episode, Daniel and I have an intentional conversation about race. He discusses his relationship with his Blackness, how he’s learned to embrace it, and what that means for him. We also talk about an incredibly vulnerable post that Daniel shared on his Facebook about why he chose not to march in the protests for justice for George Floyd.
This is a deeply meaningful, intentional, and needed conversation with a beautiful soul.
    Some Questions I Ask:
Why do you think you have never brought your blackness to the party of our friendship? (9:24)How can people begin the internal healing process when working toward becoming anti-racist? (13:48)
In This Episode, You Will Learn:
What led Daniel to become a social worker. (4:53)How Daniel learned to embrace his Black heritage. (9:29)What being authentically anti-racist looks like. (14:12)Why Daniel chose not to march at the protests. (23:04)Why saying something is better than remaining silent. (28:39)

Rikka Zimmerman | How to Find Peace in a Pandemic

Rikka Zimmerman | How to Find Peace in a Pandemic

    Here’s to RECLAIMING your PEACE!
This pod happens to be one of my favorite conversations of all-time. You’ll hear from the amazing Rikka Zimmerman, who is a global thought leader in the space of consciousness. In other words, she’s all about transformation. She is the founder and CEO of The Life Transformed University, which is a $10M company. She’s nothing short of a business powerhouse, but it’s her spiritual essence and the love that she exudes that will connect you with her.
This conversation is all about reclaiming your peace. We basically talked about all the pandemics in the world: from the current COVID-19 pandemic which creates anxiety in a lot of people, to the pandemic of not feeling loved, seen, worthy, enough. All of that.
Rikka talks all about her spiritual path to reclaiming peace, conquering cancer, identifying limiting beliefs, and learning to process the strong emotions that might cloud up our visions every day. She even leads me through a process to tap into true peace, love, and life – and I was completely blown away by it.
This is a deeply meaningful and applicable conversation. You’re REALLY going to love it.
    Some Questions I Ask:
How did you come to be the woman you are today? (8:03)When did you wake up to your divinity? (14:08)What triggers you today? (19:25)
In This Episode, You Will Learn:
How conquering cancer made Rikka uncover some deep-seeded patterns in her life. (9:38)3 questions to ask yourself to process strong emotions. (16:24)How humanity can begin healing their fear, anger, and hurt. (22:16)6 principles that life source energy and love source function from. (24:47)
