FNP 201 : Best of Firearms Nation - Hwansik Kim

FNP 201 : Best of Firearms Nation - Hwansik Kim

The episode is a replay of an interview I did with Hwansik Kim back in 2018. Right now, Hwansik is currently representing the USA at the 2022 World Shoot in Thailand. It’s quite an accomplishment to make the World Team amongst all the great competitors in the United States. In this episode, Hwanski talks about the high-level training and mindset he uses and this, without a doubt, got him where he is today.

John Simpson - Former Sniper and Flash Recognition

John Simpson - Former Sniper and Flash Recognition

John Simpson is a former US Army Sniper and instructor. John also teaches at SniperCraft alongside Derrick Bartlett, who was on Episode 187. I had a great talk with Derrick about “Tactical Blindness” and when I heard that John teaches a technique called “Flash Recognition,” I wanted to bring him on. Flash Recognition is a technique used with fighter pilots and has applications in the shooting/sniper world.

Great podcast

I have learned a lot of really good information about training by listening to these interviews. As an instructor, I find the insights valuable. My personal favorite episode is the interview with Ron Avery. I’ve listened to that episode at least a half dozen times. Check this one out. This podcast won’t disappoint.

UPDATE: Still The Best gun related podcast year after year

I listen to A LOT of podcast and find Firearms Nation Podcast to be my favorite. Constantly delivering quality content with top level guests and not trying to push sponsored products. Aric Levy (the host) has alway ended his show with “carry your gun, get some training, look out for one another, we’re all in this together”. Never before has this been more important. Still listening and loving this podcast. The latest with JJ is another example of a great podcast with top level guest. Please keep them coming.

Thanks for the rebroadcast of North Hollywood shootout coverage. Yup, missed it the first broadcast and kept me glued to my speaker.
