Interview-only Semisode Because Sara is Sick: Andy Milligan (ANT & DEC'S SATURDAY NIGHT TAKEAWAY)
Sara has tonsillitis - she's on antibiotics and complete vocal rest. She had a fever dream where she was drawn towards the light, but spotted her late grandmother on the other side and fled.
So, it's a truncated episode this week (a semisode?): An interview we'd already recorded before she was struck down. And what an interview! It's Andy Milligan, writer of The Sopranos of shiny-floor entertainment TV - Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

Underarm Meat and a Wide Ribcage. And Michelle Singer & Stu Richards (THE ASSEMBLY)
Happy birthday to our son, who's eight today. He'll never read this, although he was recently overheard saying, "Mom can't decide what she's doing for her quick watch". Kids these days! Etc.
This week it's our great pleasure to speak to Rockerdale Studios creative director, Stu Richards, and head of production, Michelle Singer, about their SMASH HIT The Assembly. You're not living life to the fullest if you haven't seen this show, and you know we don't say that lightly.
Plus: a master-class in martial passive-aggression, Ripley (finally!), and boundaries, baby, BOUNDARIES.

Michael Sheen is 25 years older than his wifeSteve Martin is 26 years older than his wifeLarry David is 31 years older than his wife.

HEY HOLLYWOOD! What is this, Chateau Marmont?!
This week's guest is Hollywood insider, the impossibly lovely Eric Newman, creator of Narcos and Griselda. We talk collabs with famous actors, and how to sensitively portray real-life people on screen. Plus the dos and don'ts of portraying drug lords specifically! Can't you just feel the California breeze in the palm trees as you read this?! How lovely.
Also we've got the new Sally Wainwright, Taylor Swift and a show where a hot girl works in a record shop. HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING?

Little Wigs Abound! And Russell T Davies (DOCTOR WHO)
We've never been in love before
We thought our hearts were safe
We thought we knew the score!
Are these lyrics from a musical? Or rather our unbridled feelings for this week's guest who just so happens to be RUSSELL T. DAVIES? WHAT IF IT IS BOTH?
Dreams come true you guys, you just have to keep dreaming. This week's guest, see above, is the showrunner of Doctor Who, creator of It's a Sin, Queer as Folk, and too much more to mention. The King of British TV, and our new hero.
Our hearts are full of gratitude towards beloved friend and listener Jan McVerry, without whom none of this would've happened!

This week, Sara's dreams come true (Geoff's come true next week WATCH THIS SPACE) when we speak to Girls5eva creator Meredith Scardino. It's the best comedy in 5eva, as far as we're concerned, and we are never wrong.
Plus: One amazing film, one v good documentary, and a decent glitzy-glamy drama. Plus-Plus: We want a dog. Do sheep-a-doodles really need a massive outdoor garden?

Customer Reviews
THE best tv podcast
I hate Geoff Lloyd but I LOVE this podcast. I didn’t listen to the Succession one, but this new pod is great. Sara is unhinged and very entertaining. I just wish her husband wasn’t so lame.
Love this podcast!
I just adore Succession! And I wanted to consume everything Succession, which led me here. I realized just how much I now also love this podcast when, after (what felt like) a long silence during this post-finale come-down, my heart lit up upon seeing today’s new episode in my feed!
Love the punchy humor, love the hosts and their rapport (so glad they met their mutual match and married each other! even when they’re being crass etc., their genuine “good people” energy comes through), love the substantive analysis, LOVE Friday Sprinkles with the crazy nicknames, etc.! Super entertaining. Hope you do something else together soon!
I work at HBO (not on Succession), and I’m so proud of what the network (still going strong!) puts out.
Pls do another something
We don’t want to lose you just because it’s over. We just really, really want to lose the whispering.
