117 HERE'S WHY WE TOOK TODAY'S EPISODE DOWN

117 HERE'S WHY WE TOOK TODAY'S EPISODE DOWN

Heather shares why she and Jonathan decided to take down the current episode that aired today. Thanks to gathering some wise council they decided it wasn't the right time to talk about the topics that were being addressed. Instead, Heather takes this opportunity to share the extreme value of being a leader who listens, gathers wise council and applies their words to your life.

She also shares a quick story about a time when she totally failed at listening to wise council which created one of her biggest flops in ministry.

Trogdan ,

It’s very good

At a time where so many are looking for “the magic bullet” to make their ministry successful, it’s encouraging to hear Heather and Mark talk about what healthy discipleship looks like. Utilizing the lens of 1st century teaching and training methods brings fresh perspective to discipling students and encourages listeners to read/study the text of the Bible with a deeper mindset.

Great Podcast!

I recently discovered this podcast and have been so encouraged. I traveled to Israel with the same leader that Heather went with so many of her stories brought brings back memories from my trip to the Holy Land! If you are interested in learning more about 1st century Jewish culture and how translate that information to the youth today this Podcast is for you! It is not very long, but full of information but fun to listen to!

Literally waiting for each new release

This is an amazing podcast for all youth pastors, directors, volunteers. Without a doubt - you will learn something new that will help you serve your students and families. FCYM has truly plugged into somethings that are missing in so many ministries. Context. Culture. The daily walk of the disciples and Jesus. And how that so closely relates to our youth ministries without us trying make the Bible “fun”. Spoiler: God already made the Bible fun.

Thank you Heather and Mark for taking the dive and following Jesus in this season to teach me (and a ton more people) something new ever week.
