First Pitches is a series where famous founders share the first version of their pitch. No founder starts their journey with the perfect pitch; the beginning of every journey is filled with self-doubt and lack of support.

In each episode, we demonstrate that every founder (even the most well known today) had to go through the humbling experience of getting started with an imperfect pitch.

We’ll travel back in time to when our guests made their first pitch, listen to their actual pitch, and discuss the experience. In the process of exploring the first pitch, we’ll draw out vulnerable moments and practical advice that founders can use to improve their pitches.

Guests on First Pitches have included founders and CEO's of Box, Cloudflare, Backstage Capital, Drift, Truepill, Make Love Not Porn, and more.

Get Inspired

Really excited for this new podcast series! Absolutely love the premise. Michelle Zatlyn was a great first guest and it was inspirational to hear about her decision to turn down the opportunity at Linkedin in order to chase her dreams. Eric and Lolita make a fun a dynamic duo as hosts and keep the podcast engaging and interesting. Can’t wait for the next episode. Keep up the good work!

Not horrible just kinda cringe

Bahn isn’t a horrible host just kinda lame. Plus, this fund isn’t really successful (people in VC know this) so when they big shot people it’s a bit cringe.

Inspiring for entrepreneurs and working class alike

Enjoyed listening to the journey of Michelle Zatlyn and the ups and downs of her path. Eric and Lotita bring an upbeat energy and asks great questions. Looking forward to the rest of the season!
