Broadway inspires me to be...

IN THE MOMENT. This podcast is so motivating to me and I’m so thankful to these ladies for being so encouraging and focusing on health in ALL forms.

Like a lot of things, but...

Love the idea of this and have thoroughly enjoyed the advice and vulnerability of the actors interviewed.

Of course, body image and fitness are major issues in our line and, of course, “Fit for Broadway” is in the title of the podcast! That said, many of these episodes have had guests talking about dieting and some of them stressing an importance to be thin. Every actor has their own experience and what works for them, so I thank them for sharing their stories.

However, I would love to hear actors in larger bodies on the podcast—actors who are, of course, fit for Broadway because they are on Broadway, but may not be constantly trying to slim down or lose weight. For example, I remember an interview with James Igleheart where he talked about maintaining a diet that allowed him to do “Friend Like Me” in Aladdin 8 times a week but also kept him “hefty” because “watching a brother near 300 pounds do I what I do makes people go ‘oh! That’s amazing!’”

It would be amazing if a fitness podcast could be a champion for body diversity on Broadway!
