The Martian - Death on Mars

Characters in film have been dying by the thousands since the medium began, so much so that the very idea of character death has taken on new weight and context. Malcolm Nygard shows us how Ridley Scott's The Martian, which subverts a lot of the stereotypes about death in space movies, teaches us some important lessons about stories.

Former Love Songs by Jon the Obscure

Former Love Songs by Jon the Obscure

In our first Life Machine, the mini show where we look at the small aspects of real life people and events, Malcolm got together with his old friend Jon to talk about his new album, Former Love Songs. It was a long time in the making, especially if you consider all the time it took to reach this musical level, and Jon breaks down his mindset and hopes when he makes music.
Jon the Obscure's album is available on Bandcamp and itunes. It's a beautiful album and well worth it. Like his Facebook page while you're just throwing around clicks.

ellericcardi ,

I Lost a Bet

and I had to leave a review. Anyways, I love everything on the FM network so naturally I love this main content channel. The Film Machine episodes have been my favorites, and I will admit, I was totally oblivious to the many charms of the Jaws Soundtrack. I can't wait to see what their next little deep dive will be!

Ryan Healey ,

Professional AF

With this relaunch and re-branding the Comrade Radio network has taken it to the next level. This new content channel and it's four areas of focus are a great idea, but to actually hear it executed is something else. Only one episode out so far and it was tight, informative and professional af. Sounds amazing, can't wait to hear more!

Klaudandus_Feathermoon ,

Marvel comics wishes they had a relaunch this successful.

Eat your heart out Yoshida-san!
