Michael Gemma got his start in the craft beer industry as a host at Rock Bottom Brewery's downtown Chicago location in 2005. After working most every FOH, and a couple BOH, positions in his 5 years of employment there, he accepted an invitation to join the management team of a new brewpub in the west loop neighborhood at the end of 2010. As Haymarket Pub & Brewery expanded over the last decade, so has Michael's roles with the company: bar manager, assistant GM, and now director of operations.
