Keep Flowers Not Bees — How to Save Bees without Eating Honey

There are more than 25,000 bee species globally, but when most people think about "saving bees," they tend to think only of the European honeybee — a species not native to the U.S. — that has been domesticated for crop pollination and honey production. Listen to this episode for how to help wild bees, both directly and indirectly.

Time is Passing. How Do You Want to Spend It?

Time is Passing. How Do You Want to Spend It?

"I wish this hadn't happened in my time." "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." My inspiration for this episode.

When to Use (and Not Use) the Word Vegan — (REBROADCAST)

When to Use (and Not Use) the Word Vegan — (REBROADCAST)

One of my goals has always been to take the word "vegan" out of the box called "vegan." My goal is constantly thwarted by

*the overuse of the word vegan

*the use of "vegan" to refer to people as well as food

*the attempt by some vegans to narrow the definition and make the word "vegan" refer to every social problem that exists in the world

If you call yourself vegan or have ever been told you can't call yourself vegan, this episode is for you.

The Best Vegan Podcast

Colleen is such a role model for me. I made the switch to veganism on Jan 1, 2020 and will never look back. I started listening to this podcast around June of last year, and the information is just so incredibly useful. I learn so much every episode, and the information I learn is helping me to become a better person. I’m making small strides towards zero waste now thanks to Colleen. I’m working my way through all of her old episodes now, but I hope there’s still many more to come. Thank you for all of your hard work on this! I’m a low level Patron now, but will certainly bump it up once my financial situation allows for it! All the best, Kayla

Comforting and thought provoking

I love listening to Colleen! At times it feels like we are having a conversation. She brings up excellent points and helps me process through various thoughts I have. Even though I’ve been vegan for nearly 8 years, it is helpful to listen to the things she has to say.
