In this episode goes over why I think every home buyer should get a home inspection on a new home. I also suggest that my clients get a home inspection on the new home they are buying. If they get a home inspection and everything comes out great - they have peace of mind their home is the way it should be. If things come up on the home inspection then just give your inspection report to the builder so they can fix everything on the list.

A new home builder has a lot of weird things in their purchase contract and there is NO question that their contract is one-sided. But, at the end of the day builders and in the business to build home and not take peoples money or kick them out of the contract.

I would highly recommend getting a Realtor that is a new home specialist - someone who understand builders and can walk you through the process. 90 - 95% of buying a new home comes down to communication.
