“The Challenge for Women in The New World” - Part 1
There is a quote by Brene Brown that states “Vulnerability is the birthplace of connection and the path to the feeling of worthiness. If it doesn't feel vulnerable, the sharing is probably not constructive.”
Today, we’re going to delve into vulnerability, and how it may release your creativity and also lead you to feeling empowered. I know-- it all sounds paradoxical, but we have a brilliant mind to help us on that journey of understanding ourselves better.
Dr. Tamara McMillan is a problem-solver. She is a distinguished author, speaker, and an award-winning educator. Her career spans over 18 years in both corporate world and higher education. She is the founder of EmpowerMee, an online community for women who want more in life.
A string of letters follow her name, to denote but some of her accomplishments-- MS, CPSC, CLC, PhD.
She holds a master’s degree in Student Personnel Administration and a bachelor's degree in political science-- both earned at Buffalo State College. Her commitment to lifelong learning is further evidenced by an advanced Creativity and a Change Leadership certificate from the International Center for Studies in Creativity.
Dr. McMillan's scholarly pursuits culminated in a doctorate from the University of the Virgin Islands, where she conducted groundbreaking research on the profound impact of failure. Notably, she was selected as one of the distinguished speakers for the inaugural TEDx conference in Buffalo, New York, held in December 2012.
Dr. McMillan joins me today via Streamyard on the Forever FAB Podcast to discuss vulnerability, taking risks, confidence, self-development and creativity.

Microphone Check 1-2-1-2: This Is A Reality Check
It’s been that kind of day. Post Mercury retrograde, today feels… hectic, off, unstable. The truth is that sometime, things are messy. This is the truth of living a beautiful Life. Without the unraveling, there can be no transformation. Where is the light if there had been no darkness.
I was having that kind of day. So, I changed my intention for the original content of this episode to something a bit more affirming.
So, today, I decided to help you find some peace. Even if only for… 15 minutes or so. Today, I offer you a prayer of peace from a Buddhist tradition. No matter your religion or spiritual leanings, I believe you may find grounded-ness in this reading.
This is an excerpt from the Buddha Path Sutra Practice, followed by a prayer for peace.

Say Goodbye to Adult Acne
When I am asked to speak about skin care, meaning taking care of the skin, people often think that I am dermatologist. I am not a dermatologist. My work is that of a plastic surgeon. Moreover, because I believe that healthy skin responds better to my needle or scalpel, I have my views on how to keep skin healthy and radiant. Additionally, because many years ago, I created the philosophy of holistic plastic surgery, which has wellness and holistic beauty at its core, I believe that many forms of acne may be healed through an inside-out approach.

We love Dr. Shirley!!
Dr. Shirley is the absolute best. She is such an inspiration, and we are thrilled that she created this awesome show :) We especially love the episode with Delia Folk
Great pod but host can improve
In the episode with Erika Bloom, great pod, great questions, but the host was often overbearing and interrupted (not always bad, usually to agree or chime in with the guest, but still got to be too much). I wish she'd know that the power of silence as a host is both beneficial and calming for listeners and guests alike.
