Thug Kitchen is racist

Thug Kitchen has for years profited in virtual and figurative blackface, exploiting stereotypes about black language and culture to make money. All the while they have dismissed and gaslighted vegans and chefs of color who have protested this blatant racist behavior. Only now have they had the epiphany that they are wrong yet they still refuse to properly acknowledge and apologize publicly and credibly to those activists whom they dismissed. And further they profited tremendously from this exploitative brand. They should donate those profits to racial equity organizations like Black Lives Matter. Or else they are only virtue signaling and performing allyship and will continue to be part of the engine that powers white supremacy and discrimination.

Awesome recipes and podcast

The TK cookbooks are fantastic. Vegan recipes that our family, including an 11 year old and 14 year old love. The TK recipes make it so easy to get your daily requirement of vegetables. We no longer have to make our kids eat a bowl of carrots after dinner since the TK recipes incorporate so many vegetables into the dish. I can’t say enough good things about the recipes. TK has totally changed how we cook. Thanks TK!
