#17: The "Joys" of Dating, with Maria Filar, Graphic Designer/Illustrator

My guest today is my friend, the delightful Maria Filar. Maria is an artist specializing in graphic design and illustration. She designed the awesome artwork for the T-shirts I sell for my YouTube channel! (https://www.bonfire.com/store/frankjames/)

Maria’s going to share some of her misadventures in the dating app world, including a bizarre prank that a guy pulled on a first date. She'll also educate us on the several hilarious patterns she's found across dozens of men’s profiles. (For instance, did you know that lots of guys like to just put a bunch of airport codes in their profile to show where they’ve traveled?)

#13: J.J. McCullough: Countries, Cultures, and Canada

#13: J.J. McCullough: Countries, Cultures, and Canada

J.J. McCullough is a journalist and YouTuber whose videos cover a wide variety of topics: from the world's worst flags, to the school lunches of children around the globe, to the Canadian Prime Minister election. J.J. explores the inner workings of the cultures of Canada, the US, and beyond through the everyday objects and symbols of these countries; as well as looking at their political structures, leaders, and languages. Not a stranger to controversy, he has been denounced by the Parliament of Quebec, which is a first for a guest of this podcast. We get a little more political than usual here for the FJ podcast, but ultimately come to the conclusion that understanding and empathy are the things that will ultimately bind together a nation. Finally- someone who gets me and knows how to move me into change

My sister recommended Frank James to me and I started binging his typology content on YouTube. Growing mostly apart- now in our mid 30s we found out we were both INFJs. I had known this of myself for a while- but didn’t think much of it. At the same time I have felt like a freak of nature navigating the world- overwhelmed by and overly tied to other’s feelings- Saddled with uncompromising idealism and belief in others that I have been unable to reproduce for myself. Watching FJ feels like me- finally telling me what’s up with myself. I wish he was there in my 20s- I find the podcast episodes so far illuminating on a basic level that seems long over due considering my tireless quest to fix myself. Honestly Frank- if you decide to offer individual life coaching- sign me up. Thanks for shifting my mindset in a way I can *finally* comprehend!

Frank James is addictive

I’m so glad he has expanded his content from YouTube to podcasts where he has more time to share thoughts on a lot of non-MBTI topics. You get introspective solo talks on creativity, identity etc., as well as conversations with a variety of guests. I hope we see more episodes in the future (please Frank)!
