Free Reign with Zack East is your weekly “mixtape” filled with an hour of the best of Modern Rock, a dash of New Wave, a piece of Adult Album Alternative’s “Finest Rock” and a pinch of Alternative.

Zack is the Program Director of Southwest Michigan radio stations 98.3 The Coast and ROCK 107 WIRX. He has been a lifelong fan of music, having grown up listening to great radio stations from Chicago, South Bend, and Southwest Michigan all his life. Zack’s favorite radio station of all time was the original Q101, an integral part of the alternative and classic alternative music discovery scene.

Many of the playlists you hear on the show today are formulated with a mixture of the best new modern rock from bands considered today to be “indie,” and throwbacks to the best alternative of the 90s, along with a look back at one special track that made the new wave scene.

Listen live Saturdays at 11pm Eastern and Sundays at 7pm Eastern on 98.3 The Coast, or online at 983thecoast.com.
