Customer Reviews
Listen, if only for the brilliance of Andrew Mueller
I am a rather stoic Texan and in general, not moved by much. Two or three days a week when Andrew Mueller is hosting, I find myself smirking and occasionally, even smiling. But the emu tale from the April 4th 2018 edition put me over the top - I laughed out loud, and vowed to write a review that very moment. I have been listening almost daily for over a year now and have found the commentary refreshing, insightful, and quick enough in both wit and pace to keep me entertained for my full commute. Cannot recommend this one highly enough.
Midori House was better
The Late Edition isn’t bad, but it’s no Midori House, the previous iteration of this program format. Unlike MH, TLE isn’t very unique and is more of a rehash of the day’s programming. It also is tight when it comes to guests, having its presenters and staff offer “insight”. Often this will lead to situations where, for example, a Monocle staff member who primarily covers entertainment or food will be asked to analyze US politics. This is where the show is a bit of a waste. It has its moments though, and the eclectic global stories are often interesting.
Love this!
I can't wait to listen to this podcast everyday. I live in us and I listen to this on my way home from work.
I got so much interested in world politics after listening to your expert journalists. Steve Bloomfield is my favorite, love his voice ofcourse the thoughtful insights into issue :) Although no offense I love every one of your hosts and guests :)
