    Hit me baby... with 90s Nostalgia! Guest starring: Jenny Anne Hochberg (Parks and Rec, Law & Order: SVU)

    This week, on Friday Night Movie: Becky is AWOL (Away WITH Ordered Leave) while she moves cross-country, so Lily and Shai call in reinforcements in the shape of Actor, Model, Coach, and Clubhouse Queen, Jenny Anne Hochberg! Jenny has appeared on Parks and Recreation, Law and Order: SVU, and House of Cards: and in this episode, we hear her Buy/Rent/Meh TGIF shows, and rope her into a compare-a-thon of 90s heartthrobs (any guesses as to who won)? Looking to the future, the sibs and Jenny (an honorary sib) speculate what their kids will be nostalgic for.

    Superbowl Commercials 2021and that time eBay tried to sell Shai racist propaganda

    Superbowl Commercials 2021and that time eBay tried to sell Shai racist propaganda

    This week on Friday Night Movie: It’s the Superbowl, and the sibs were READY for the commercials - and some football too, or whatever. Special guest, and advertising maestro, Bobby Buttons, returned to help the sibs process their reactions. Social justice themed ads fell flat - as Lily put it, “I couldn’t tell if they were altruistic or like, Kendall Jenner handing out Pepsi at a protest”. And they’re definitely not buying DoorDash or UberEats talking about eating local (Becky was greatly offended by them dragging Sesame Street into this mess). Lily is embarrassed for Cheetos, Becky’s reaction can be best described as “it was so bad it’s meh”, and Shai was excited for Will Ferrell’s GM ad. Later in the episode, the sibs unpacked what they’ve been streaming, from season 2 of The Code and the Price is Right to Greta Gerwig’s Little Women and Crazy-Ex Girlfriend (shoutout to Robin Coomer for the rec!), but let’s be real - it was Superbowl Sunday, and this one is all about the ads!
    All that and the episode kicks off with Shai telling the story of how eBay’s algorithm kept trying to sell him racist literature.

    TENET! We loved the movie! Also, please explain it to us.

    TENET! We loved the movie! Also, please explain it to us.

    This week, on Friday Night Movie: Shai went skiing, Becky is moving (The confusion! The chaos! The clutter!), and Lily’s kids are, well, generally confused about seasons. This is all before the movie starts playing, folks. The sibs dive into Christopher Nolan’s highly controversial (and yes, confusing, that’s a theme here at FNM today) movie Tenet. Shai somehow manages to explain the entire movie in just two minutes (whether it was comprehensive is debatable). And speaking of debates, a lively one ensues over whether it’s an overdone vanity piece, or the underrated soon-to-be cult classic of the new decade.

    Becky's Moving! Road Trip Movies!

    Becky's moving and the sibs take every opportunity to make fun of her situation. Lily hosts this ep and takes the gang through a some Buy/Rent/Meh and a Compare-a-thon about the greatest road trip movies of all time.  Also, some greats shouts and recs, including much love for Gabe Diani's amazing Mark Twain ASMR sketch, a 90s-tastic round of applause for Jenny Anne Hochberg, and the continuing saga of inviting Dana DeLorenzo (Ash vs. Evil Dead, Perpetual Grace, LTD) to be a guess on the podcast.

Like a hug from a good friend

Listening to the sibs banter and tease each other makes you feel like you’re hanging out with a best friend. I literally talk to them as if I was in the studio with them. And they consistently provide excellent recommendations. Couldn’t love this show any more!

Wading through the streaming abyss

In a world where there are more streaming channels and content than one could consume in a lifetime. And the simple task of picking something to watch pins spouse against spouse, sibling against sibling, parent against child, there is FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE Podcast to the rescue. Three siblings devouring and rating content so you and your family don’t have to waste another night only watching the trailers.

The Korman trio provide insightful analysis of both timely shows and movies as well as blasts from the past. Makes sure to have a pen and paper (or a note on your phone) handy to write down their recs week in and week out. That way the next time your family asks” what should we watch tonight?” you will be ready and be the hero of your Friday Night.

@PaperBKPrincess ,

Youngest Sibling FTW

Do you crave sibling rivalry that isn’t too mean? How about some pop culture analysis and a few much needed TV watching recs? Then this pod is for you! All 3 hosts bring something different and hilarious to the table but I have my favorite, can you guess which?
