I did not want it to end

It is two years after you all recorded this, and I am now tuning in for the first time, after having finally finished Ulysses. The words are still fresh, ringing in my mind, like hoofirons, and it is so wonderful to bathe in the stream of your insights, questions, and feelings about this book. Thanks for keeping the episodes up. Hopefully you or another trio will do this again someday.
Brilliant idea!!

I had always wanted to read Ulysses and tried a few times, but I could never get through the first 100 pages. As of this morning, Bloomsday, I have officially finished that stunning novel!! Frustrating, confusing and difficult at times, it is also beautiful, hopeful and inspiring in so many ways. Having great recommended supplements like Patrick Hastings’ book and website, as well as the weekly conversations from Alice, Lex and Adam, kept me going. How wonderful to listen to such incredible readers as I followed along in my copy. Brilliant idea and a terrific way to feel like a part of a worldwide literary community!! Do more of these with other great classics! It could be an incredible series!
lovely idea, low volume

For all the effort that went into this lovely and significant project, it's really a shame that the audio quality and volume of the readings themselves are so low and low quality. The intros and outros are very high volume and clear, but all of the chapter readings, particularly by men, are sometimes so low and low quality they are impossible to hear even when you turn your speaker all the way up. I've skipped entire chapters just to get to one I could hear clearly. The RTE Ireland production is much more illuminating.
Thoroughly engaged

Reading “Ulysses” seemed a daunting feat until this podcast, and the “book club” helping point out important bits, I’d otherwise completely miss. Bravo!
