From a Prison of Dead Christianity to True Freedom and Life - Frenzy Pt 1 - Special Guest Brandon Daily God's Kingdom Outside the Box

My guest Brandon Daily was the Lead Guitarist of our band, Vangaard. On the road for several years, all over the country and around the world, we experienced our dream of being in a band and playing for countless numbers. We saw people give their hearts to Christ. We saw many find their calling to be missionaries around the world. Yet for both of us, after doing such work for God, had to go through our own personal doubts and hurts, in order to find our true identities in Christ.
After the band broke up, a few years later, Brandon and I started working on an album together. But for reasons we won't focus on here, we had to stop and the album we wanted to release, never saw fruition. But... it is a great delight, in this episode, to share the recording of one of our songs, Frenzy, in all it's raw glory! It is a reflection of the song writing process we worked through together. Below you will find the lyrics and can follow along.
Frenzy, very much encapsulates the overall story of Brandon's walking through the smoke of various addictions, doubts and self hatred. But through it all, he was able to find great mercy and great love, in Christ.

The heat rises as smoke fills the room
A haze of unbelief darkens the light
Hundreds of bodies packed closely together move in rhythmic Frenzy
Like fish in a net but we don't know we're caught
Tired lives pour from empty wineskins
Pass of time faith is dry and we don't have it left to give
There is something I am hoping for
Something screaming there is something more
My candle is burning at both ends
I know it's all worth fighting for
The shattered pieces of our broken lives
Are spread across the floor
Like Humpty Dumpty we have had a great fall
Off of self made walls
Here comes the Horsemen and the King
To put us together again
Clash of minds as world's collide
And all our doubts are tumbling around
Some will yield and some will fight
Before this Frenzy settles down
