TODAY I have with me Kim Keane, who knows how often we sabotage ourselves when our inner needs are not met, and don't even realize it until a crisis forces us to look closer. For Kim it was when she left being a kindergarten teacher to become a stay at home mom. Thinking it was a simple "identity crisis" she went for therapy. However instead of simple solutions, she was blindsided with the labels connected to childhood trauma and domestic abuse. Wanting to be free Kim followed the directions of her therapist. That was until it became clear she had to take things into her own hands, and "claw her way out" of her darkness. Now she helps other moms feel seen, understood and less alone through coaching, podcasting, and inner healing.
Bio: Kim is a certified life coach, Reiki and IET practitioner, and podcaster. She has addressed community organizations, schools and colleges, such as Boys’ and Girls’ Club and Purdue University as well as women’s groups such as Polka Dot Powerhouse and Moms Who Dare. She strives to empower women to embrace who they are so they can be and do all that they aspire.
