Best Business & Economics Podcast

Just listen.

Worth listening to, not just hearing

Most podcasts I “listen” to really just serve as a background noise more preferable to the city’s harsh tune while I get from point A to point B. With even the best podcasts I may only actively engage every 10 or 15 minutes if something piques my interest. Not so with FT Alphachat. I won’t claim every episode is perfect, but this is the best podcast I listen to by an enormous margin. With the exception of some of the episodes and guests concerned with culture (Facebook/Google is evil! The internet will destroy liberal democracy! etc), it is sophisticated without being pompous and articulate without being glib. If I could only listen to one podcast the rest of my life this would be it. Please keep it up and figure out a way to make the Scottish?/Irish? guy immortal.

Great after the recent rebirth

Started up again after the departure of the previous host, back to being the best economics podcast out there. They get great guests like Adam Tooze and Peter Norton to really dive deep into a topic. These aren’t superficial discussions, you get so much out of them. Thanks for the good work!
