Riley Kirkpatrick returns for another fun episode where we covered a lot of ground. Riley is an incredibly skilled Blacksmith, Farrier and cohost of “Forging Brains Podcast”, a show that gives the listener a look into the farrier community and the incredible sport of Competition Blacksmithing. We talked for a good long time about the World Championship Blacksmiths- very exciting horseshoe forging competitions where a blacksmith team forges projects in very tight deadline; like a horseshoe in 8 minutes?! ! These events take forging from the gameshow format into actual sport. I’m excited to see the future of this. Riley rules and is an excellent example of the modern day blacksmith.
