Presbyterian pastor and yoga instructor Jennifer Witten brings together simple breath meditations and thoughtful reflections on the stories, teachings, and prayers of the Bible to provide practical help for growing in faith and managing stress and anxiety. Yoga pranayama (breath work) and Christian contemplative prayer practices are easily accessible tools for anyone with even a small amount of faith. The hope is to become more fully present to our loving God who is always fully present to us.
Growing in Compassion
In Luke 7, we read that Jesus felt compassion for a widow whose only son had died. Compassion. In this episode we reflect on this one word in hopes of growing in our capacity to extend compassion both to ourselves and each other.
