GARY OWEN

Manchester City Interviews

It was a whirlwind start for Gary Owen at Manchester City. His escalation from being a fan of the club and playing in schools football to representing the Blues at Maine Road and becoming a first team regular was swift. He quickly settled into the midfield and became a fans' favourite - but he fell victim to Malcolm Allison's clear-out when the former coach took charge in the late 1970s. Despite his popularity, he was moved on to West Brom. He spoke to the Blue Moon Podcast's David Mooney about his time at Maine Road and talked through some of his hidden talents.
