    DROP DEAD GORGEOUS

    DROP DEAD GORGEOUS

If you love pulled pork products, but hate kids playing Marco Polo in the pool, then grab your sash and tiara and let's go to Mount Rose Minnesota for the incredibly brilliant and groundbreaking look at small-town pageants: DROP DEAD GORGEOUS
Rob and Robbie discuss how this movie went from critical failure to queer success, the genius of Allison Janney, the Academy Awards' ignorance about comic performances, their favorite lines, a wish for Kirstie Alley, and why this movie is surviving cancel culture.

    THE QUEEN

    THE QUEEN

In episode twenty-nine of Gay Card Revoked, Rob and Robbie go back to 1968 and watch the visceral and campy Drag Queen beauty pageant of 1967, The Queen, which is a lesser appreciated piece of LGBTQIA+ cinema.
The boys look at the gay life before Stonewall, drag culture as a community foundation, the life or death stakes of a blonde fall, and an epic takedown by Crystal LaBeija, are all the beautiful little nuggets that make up this film that has been eclipsed by Paris Is Burning and RuPaul's Drag Race. And without Flawless Sabrina and Crystal LaBeija there might not have ever been a prominent drag culture at all!

    FUNNY GIRL

    FUNNY GIRL

Hello, Gorgeous! It's time to look at the screen debut of the patron saint of queerdom, Barbra Streisand, in her Academy Award winning performance as Fanny Brice in FUNNY GIRL.
Walking the boys through this movie is The Book of Mormon's very own Jordan Matthew Brown who loves all things Babs. The boys discuss the queer coding of "People," why Babs knocked it out of the park on her first movie, what moments of the film are iconic cinema, the beauty of Omar Shariff, and who might be right for a Funny Girl revival.

    SHELLEY DUVALL'S FAERIE TALE THEATRE

    SHELLEY DUVALL'S FAERIE TALE THEATRE

Once Upon A Time.....in a far off television studio.....lived an indie actress with a single dream: To get all of her famous friends in one room, have them weirdly act out the most demented fairy tales, and make sure that every little queer child knew that you don't need happily ever after when you have Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre.
Today's queer expert is celebrated actor Wyatt Fenner who comes with not only a battered moleskin filled with notes and observations but a TedTalk on Shelley, Robert Altman, Rumplestiltskin, Tattoo from Fantasy Island, being an OG Bronie, and why Jeff Bridges can climb Rapunzel's tower any day he wishes.

I haven’t reviewed this yet!?

First of all, the topics are always excellent.

But, honestly, I’d listen to Rob & Robbie discuss the alphabet. Their chemistry, their impressions, & their humor have me on the floor with every new episode. Amazing & hilarious!

Come for the topic of the week, stay for Rob & Robbie!

Great concept and hosts

Rob and Robbie really balance each other out as podcast hosts. I have enjoyed all the episodes so far. I would recommend to anyone who likes talking about books, movies, and TV or as an addition to anyone's queerentine.
