Exponentially Geeky

Most of the time i have no idea what they're talking about because i'm definitely not as geeky on some of the topics, but it's always entertaining and informative.

Addictive, Informative, and Entertaining

There are geeks and there are Geeks. Then there is the Geek Questionier: Charlie Hoover. Together with his beautiful co-host, Aalia Yousafzai, they bring a fresh perspective on geeks and geekdom. Aalia and Charlie queue up from their booth separated ¼ planet apart and their on air chemistry is dazzling. Charlie and Aalia’s expansive pop culture and geek culture knowledge combine providing a wealth of different perspectives on geekdom. They instantly put the bar up and raise it every show as well as present without ego bashing.

Born out of the desire to meet the people in the Geek Questionier community created on social media, this podcast is completely about the individual geek and who they are unlike other geeky podcasts focusing on the tech, genre universe mythos, toys, games, etcetera The Geek Questionier Podcast introduces the person inside the geek to the world. Stemming from a massive following in social media, the guests are people, fellow geeks, and entertaining.

The show format is firm with a dash of improvisation fluctuating from 1 to 2 hours. It reviews the popular “Geek Question of the Day” responses for the week then delves gently into the psyche of the guest. The questions are always the same but the answers are unique giving the rest of the community that rare peek behind the computer screen/online representation of each guest forming a connection and dispelling the notion that geeks are different. They truly are just like anyone else with a passion for a subject, sport, or hobby.

On the whole the podcast does and has achieved the elusive balance between host, guest and listener akin to a family gathering of old friends. I hope the shows continue to bring this view of the common geek out of that nebulous area into the everyday people world as geeks are just me and you.
