Genesis 41: Interpret Your Pain Through The Lens of God's Purpose

Joseph has gone through deep trauma–kidnapped by his brothers, sold into slavery as a commodity, slandered and accused of a sexual crime he did not commit, sent and forgotten in prison. 13 years of agony, yet he remains faithful in obscurity. God, in a sovereign move of power, gives Pharaoh a dream that awakens the cupbearer’s memory about Joseph, and in one day Joseph is exalted from being a prisoner to becoming prime minister of the greatest nation on earth. Even though Joseph’s dreams led him to pits of pain, Pharaoh’s dreams brought him to the zenith of power. It was all God’s dream to save the nation of Israel from death to give us a Savior–the Lord Jesus Christ.
