    • Places & Travel

Michaela Trimble is a writer and photographer based in Mexico City. She is a Latin America expert for publications like T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Vogue, Condé Nast Traveler, and Travel + Leisure. Her favorite assignments include documenting the wilds of northern Chile and exploring new high-altitude paths through the Andes Mountains of Peru. When she’s not traveling for various publications, she reports on her city’s vibrant art and design scene. Michaela has a passion for mentoring and envisions a future for herself where she’s actively supporting others entering the travel media industry. She recently finalized her debut fiction novel: a thriller exploring the intersection of architecture and shamanism in Mexico City.

In this episode, you will hear about Michaela’s journey through the travel journalism industry. She shares both high and lows, and how she continues to find and create joy in her work. Michaela has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share and I’m excited to have her on the show as our first guest in Season 2!
