Best Digi-podcast
I gotta say, this podcast is incredibly groovy. The hosts get along well, the jokes are funny, and everything is interesting to listen to. The guests are amazing as well.
Me personally, I think that mists podcasts aren’t as good as this one. I have a couple reasons for this:
One, the podcast doesn’t seem forced. Most podcasts I’ve listened to felt forced, and the hosts never got along well.
Two.. well, the email is pretty funky. I sent in an email (as all fans of podcasts do) and the email they sent back seemed more thought out and personal then most podcasts emails are.
I can confidently say that even if you don’t like Digimon, you could listen to this podcast and go in headfirst with no knowledge and this podcast will STILL be entertaining. This podcast’s funny, upbeat feeling can make any bad day better, any unbearable situation slightly bearable. It’s just overall so great.
Great Show
Love the show, the hosts have great chemistry together and I love the reviews of the US vs Japanese version, the “sponsors” and ratings.
The only think that can get uncomfortable at times is all the Patamon love they show. Granted he is the best, but no one loves him more than they do.
Grain of salt
I really want to like this podcast. I like Digimon. And I like learning about Japanese culture. And this is a fun podcast to listen to.
However, I have a hard time listening and often shut off an episode before it ends. The host-James-makes this podcast harder to listen to. I don’t really find him funny. I agree with the sentiment that the sub is better than the dub and while most of the differences are funny, I do not think the sub/dub difference makes the podcast enjoyable, or at least it’s not the most enjoyable thing.
The three other hosts are great. When they do have a criticism, it is not overplayed for entertainment, it comes from a genuine disappointment for the show.
If asked, I would recommend this podcast. However, I cannot lie and say the show is perfect. If I found another podcast that was talking or doing the same thing as this podcast, I would probably recommend it more or at least drop this one.
