S1Ep4 | Traveling along the Möbius strip

Welcome to Episode 4 of the "Get Thirsty" podcast! In this episode, we dive into the concept of aligning your soul and your role.
But wait, it's not just another boring self-help topic! Nope - it’s a mind-bending mathematical curiosity, the Mobius strip, a powerful symbol for how our inner and outer lives are connected. Remember, thriving undivided is a skill that can be learned and mastered with practice and dedication, and a good metaphor always helps with that.
What's a Mobius strip, you ask? It's like a rollercoaster ride for your mind! Imagine taking a strip of paper, giving it a twist, and then joining the ends together to create a surface with only one side and one boundary. It's crazy and cool at the same time!
I invite you to join me on this metaphorical trip and take a journey along the Mobius strip - an idea that has the potential to change your life.
So hop aboard, and let's explore the art and science of thriving undivided!

    S1Ep3 | Practicing & Partnering with Paradox

    S1Ep3 | Practicing & Partnering with Paradox

Welcome to Get Thirsty with Dr. Ginger Carlson, Episode 3, where we explore the art of Practicing & Partnering with Paradox. This episode speaks to the luminosity of the soul, where the messages between the fire and the heart become clearer, and how the balance scale finds its center.
The episode dives into understanding and embracing paradoxes - statements, propositions, or situations that seem illogical, absurd, or self-contradictory but may still contain an element of truth. It's about reconciling seemingly opposing ideas that make you a deeper, multidimensional human.
Included here is a downloadable "playsheet" to guide you through the process of identifying and understanding the dualities within you, releasing judgment, and being the mirror to brave work. It's a fun and enlightening process that will help you embrace what makes you unique, even the harder, more shadowy elements. Remember, a paradox is only a problem if it is open to a solution, but paradoxes just are what they are. So embrace them, and let them make you a deeper, more multidimensional human.

Everything drops to its knees and begs for light
Don't even consider for a second
    You are not wild enough
To draw that light in To inspire it to dance
    Collide with its own radiance
And birth a new kind of star

The perfect podcast for those who thirst!

I had the occasion to learn from Ginger while she was an educator for my children. She quietly and gently formed the foundation for learning for my youngest (who is now into the 9th grade and has a ‘Thirst’ for learning that inspires me every day). I watched her parent her children outside of the box that I had unknowingly formed around my own children. During a play date I poured my child’s drink and fretted that she might break the delicate teacup that was offered. Ginger said, ‘How will your child learn to hold the cup and not break it if they aren’t offered the opportunity to hold (and possibly break) it?’ Isn’t experience what life is all about and isn’t our job as parents to provide an environment where our children can learn all about life?
I love this podcast because I am shuttled back to my time learning from Ginger, literally at her feet. I don’t think I have ever sat in a chairs with her! She understands the mind/body connection and integrates movement into her classes.
She understands how people learn and as an adult recently diagnosed with learning disabilities I can appreciate how Ginger breaks down nuggets of wisdom into easily digestible pieces. She plays the long game. The goal is not to cram information into your head. The goal is to develop your soul to do what it was made to do. Learn. Experience. Appreciate.
I can hear what she has taught my child in these podcasts. My child is a creator. She is a musician. She is an artist. She is a writer. She could not be these things without the nurturing she received during her early childhood. I will forever thank Ginger for this foundation.
