Yesss! Get Wasted fam it’s been a long time! Happy Pride Month! This is a Nettie solo episode. I’ve been watching a lot of tv lately and noticed an actress who really impressed me— Juani Feliz. She honored me with the privilege of interviewing her, so I decided to open up our podcast feed to highlight her. Juani is a queer-actress best known for playing Isabela Benitez-Santiago in Amazon Prime’s series, Harlem. She navigates the waters of who SHE is, versus who her PARENTS want her to be. The film stars Adepero Oudeye, Pernell Walker, Kim Wayans, Charles Parnell and Aasha Davis. It is directed and written by Dees Rees. There are A LOT of similarities and call backs to South Of Nowhere in this movie too. We will be pointing out each one!
