Girl, Black Lives Matter
On this week’s episode, we’re talking about this current moment. Following the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others, we discuss what it’s been like keeping up with the news, joining and supporting protests, working in diverse and not-so-diverse work environments, arguing with old friends, finding common ground with allies. We share some of our own experiences with racism and prejudice, how the Black and LGBTQ+ communities can stand together, and look at a few celebrities who have used and misused their platforms. Finally, we share some advice for taking care of yourself and others during this crazy time.
