With over 235,000 people a year becoming homeless in Canada, this is a huge issue. Join me as I discuss the topic of homelessness with my guest,  Lara McLean, founder of an initiative called Everyday is Homeless Day, which she started at the young age of 13. Throughout the years, she has continued to grow it, and dedicates her free time to educating people, raising awareness, and removing the stigma associated with being homeless. Everyday is Homeless Day also supports two local charities - Haven Toronto and Women's Habitat of Etobicoke. You can get involved by reaching out to her via Instagram (below).

For today’s episode, I really wanted to talk about something that is crucial in career progression - networking. For some people, this may come naturally and may even be fun, but for others it can feel uncomfortable, intimidating and inauthentic.

I’ve invited my best friend Katie to sit with me for a raw girl chat about the pandemic and how it’s been affecting our mental health, relationships, and more. *Trigger Warning* for those who may be sensitive to those topics.

I invited Katie to discuss this with me because she’s very passionate about mental health and she’s someone I always go to for advice. She’s basically my personal therapist and I wanted to share her wisdom with you guys and not be selfish and keep her to myself. ;)

Today’s episode will focus on something that over half of us experience -  imposter syndrome. For those that don’t know what that is well it’s basically a mixture of anxiety and an inability to recognize your worth. Despite having accomplishments and being qualified you still feel as if you’re not deserving of your job, that it’s all due to luck or good timing, and believe that you have people fooled into thinking you’re better,more intelligent and more competent than you actually are.  
To discuss this topic, I invited one of my close friends Chelsey! To give you a bit of background this bad ass babe went from having a pretty s****y experience at a job she was underpaid for and ended up in a job she absolutely loves with a 30k pay increase in only a year. How crazy is that? I love her story because whenever people open up to me about feeling stuck in their current roles/pay rates, I always use her and her story as an example. I’m not gonna give away too much because who better to tell her story than her?
