Give Peace a CHANT! A short Buddhist chant session with me Bloom with a Boom! Wisdom From My Prickly Path.

In this short episode I introduce the Buddhist mantra I’ve been chanting for the last 15+ years, and the words are Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.  This will be helpful in following along.

I don’t really go into the context of my spiritual practice in this episode - we’re taking a few moments for some self generated sound healing to bring some peace, energy and presence into our day.  Just like yoga, breathwork or meditation, chanting is a powerful modality for elevating our life condition. 

However this chant is part of the Nichiren Daishonin Buddhist tradition that originated in Japan and is now practiced all over the world.  The purpose is to create immediate, tangible joy in our own lives, boost self awareness and improve our relationships and the way we interact with the world.  I encourage you to visit the Buddhability Podcast for interesting and educational content about this practice.
