Everything college football fans need to know about Ohio State recruiting, hosted by Buckeye Scoop experts Marc Givler and Bill "The Bank" Greene.
Buckeyes land a top RB, an instant analysis of Mark Fletcher
The Buckeyes landed a big piece with the commitment of Mark Fletcher, a top back out of the state of Florida, but what does it mean? Is Ohio State done with one back or could this class have two? Who could be the second back in the class? What is Fletcher's game like and what should fans expect? We break all of that down with this commitment special edition of Givs and the Bank here on the news of Mark Fletcher joining the class.
Wrapping up Elite 11, What's next for South Florida Express?
It's a new edition of Givs and the Bank as Marc Givler and Bill Greene were in the building for the Elite 11 event in Massillon (Ohio) over this past weekend. Many of the region’s top quarterbacks took part in this event from the classes of 2023 and well beyond.
Who caught the eye of our guys, do the Buckeyes have a shot at the top player? Who else stood out in classes down the line and do they have what it takes to eventually catch the eye of the Buckeyes?
And what about quarterback recruiting in general? Could Ohio State land quarterbacks out of order and what might Ohio State do to try and work from that? Not sure what we mean? We will explain.
And of course the Buckeyes have been making a splash in the state of Florida with a recent visit by many of the stars of the South Florida Express seven-on-seven team. What does that mean, is there such a thing as a package deal and could we be close to the first domino falling?
All of that and more in this edition of Givs and the Bank.
Breaking down the big commitment of Malik Hartford
Marc Givler and Bill Greene are back with an instant reaction episode as Ohio State has landed a commitment from top in-state priority Malik Hartford. What will the Top 100 safety bring to the Buckeyes?
On The Road Again: Tales from Texas and Florida
It has been a busy couple of weeks here at BuckeyeScoop as we have spent time in both Florida and Texas on the recruiting trail.
Our very own Bill Greene made his way down to the Sunshine State to check out many of the top talents from the southern part of the state as part of the South Florida Express tryout event. We also bumped into a recent Ohio State commit for the class of 2023 at the same event and got some more information on his ultimate decision.
While Greene was working on his golf game in Florida, our Marc Givler and Kevin Noon went to San Antonio to check out the All-American Bowl, checking in on several Ohio State commitments and even a few targets who are still left on the board.
While not everyone had the chance to play as roster numbers quickly depleted, we had the chance to check out several commits from both the East and West squads, talk to a couple of players who either recently committed or are still on the board and have a full evaluation of everything that we saw.
It is a special edition of Givs and the Bank from the road as we wrap up everything that we saw on the heels of some major coaching shakeup within the Ohio State staff.
New coaches, now what? Recruiting Impact of Day's new hires
It’s a special edition of Givs and the Bank and on the heels of more staff shake-up for the Buckeyes, we are here to talk about what that means on the recruiting side of things. Most of the 2022 class is already signed, sealed and in many cases, delivered. But what does these latest moves, and all four current moves in general, mean for the recruiting effort?
Talented defensive back AJ Harris had a great relationship with members of the old staff but neither Kerry Coombs nor Matt Barnes are there any longer, is all hope lost there?
Join Marc Givler, Bill Greene and special guest Kevin Noon as they talk about the recruiting impact upon the Ohio State football program with the additions of Perry Eliano and Tim Walton to the previous coaching moves of Jim Knowles and Justin Frye.
All of that and more on this special edition of Givs and the Bank.
Big News from Columbus felt all the way down in San Antonio
Givs and the Bank is still rocking it in San Antonio with the All-American Bowl as a backdrop. It was day three of practices for both the West and the East and we had the chance to take in all of the events from the West at the Alamodome.
Overshadowing much of the on-field action was the news out of Columbus that the Buckeyes have moved on from offensive line coach Greg Studrawa and what that means for the Buckeyes. We just happened to be in the same building as a pair of future Ohio State offensive linemen with George Fitzpatrick already signed and Carson Hinzman just committed to the Buckeyes.
Obviously, it was a less than ideal situation for the pair, but we talked to them and share our thoughts.
Plus, with the game just a couple of days away, who is poised to have a breakout game? We make our picks. All of that and more with Givs and the Bank, with Marc Givler and special guest Kevin Noon pinch-hitting for Bill Greene.
