Carolyn Rodz, Co-Founder + CEO of ‘Hello Alice’ — Glambition® Radio Episode 218 with Ali Brown

Carolyn Rodz, Co-Founder + CEO of ‘Hello Alice’ — Glambition® Radio Episode 218 with Ali Brown

Building a business can be the best education money can’t buy.  And on today’s Glambition Radio, my guest has turned her self-taught and network-sourced entrepreneurship skills into one of the most resourceful online hubs for female entrepreneurs seeking the next step in their business journey.

Carolyn Rodz is the co-founder + CEO of Alice, a free multi-channel platform powered by A.I. technology. On HelloAlice.com, business owners have access to funding, networks, services, and other business resources that help women navigate the practical and tactical steps of building a business, no matter where they are on the entrepreneurship ladder.

On #GlambitionRadio, you’ll also hear how Carolyn and her business partner Elizabeth Gore are taking powerful steps to shift entrepreneurship culture by advocating for women’s rights through Alice’s recent #MeToo Morality Clause. (This was fascinating! Consider this perspective if you’re seeking funding or building a board.)

Before founding Alice, Carolyn was a JP Morgan investment banker where she helped raise millions of dollars in capital for innovative organizations. She also created her own luxury retail line with products sold in Neiman Marcus, Harrods, and Bloomingdale’s, and ran a global marketing firm that supported Fortune 500 companies and startups.

    On this episode, you’ll hear:

The major lessons Carolyn learned through the closure of her first business—and the wisdom she discovered in her grieving process

The importance of maintaining a network while building a business—and how to recognize chance encounters that might aid your mission in the future

How to keep resourceful contacts in your orbit during early business stages—and ways to bring them ‘into the fold’ when you’re ready to scale

How Carolyn and Elizabeth have been coping with all their kids around over the last few months while building their company! (Maybe we should all create a homeschool co-op?)

Jennifer Allwood, Author of ‘Fear Is Not the Boss of You’ — Glambition® Radio Episode 217 with Ali Brown

Jennifer Allwood, Author of ‘Fear Is Not the Boss of You’ — Glambition® Radio Episode 217 with Ali Brown

When God closes a door, somewhere a window opens. And throughout her life, my Glambition Radio guest has harnessed her faith to transform a fair share of closed doors into the most beautifully decorated, Pinterest-famous (literally!) windows. And today, she’s teaching thousands of women how to embrace their talents and create opportunity through her faith-based online coaching.

Jennifer Allwood is an interior decorator-turned-online entrepreneur and women’s business mentor. Her brand-new book, ‘Fear Is Not the Boss of You’, is for ANY woman overwhelmed with indecision, fear, or feeling just plain stuck in business or life. On #GlambitionRadio, you’ll learn how Jennifer overcame her own success suppressors to build a booming coaching business that ‘motivates women to pursue their God-given, creative callings through bold action and no-nonsense Biblical truth.’

Jennifer launched her first interior decorating company in 2000 and discovered her knack for marketing + sales during a personal financial crisis. She quickly grew her business and today coaches nearly 3,000 clients per month. She’s been featured in Forbes, USA Today, DIY Network, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and many more.

    On this episode, you’ll hear:

How Jennifer straddles being a woman of faith AND an unabashed businesswoman (and why these are not mutually exclusive!)

Why women’s success today is shifting traditional ‘breadwinner’ dynamics… and tips to navigate these new pendulum swings in marriage

The three root issues keeping women small in business and life… and Jennifer’s essential tool for getting unstuck (Surprise! It’s NOT another business strategy…)

How to overcome fear-based emotions with wisdom and radical trust—because your feelings don’t always tell the truth!

Jennifer’s eye-opening consequence from having too much FUN during her freshman year of college! (I think we can all relate to this, even just a little… ;) )

I appreciated Jennifer’s radiant positivity during my last ICONIC event, and I know you’ll understand why during this interview!

Kris Plachy of ‘Lead Your Team’ — Glambition® Radio Episode 216 with Ali Brown

TEAM issues. They are often the sticking place for many entrepreneurs as they venture into the 7+8 figures... and well beyond. There’s a ‘make or break’ point where we either get stuck where we are, or have the power to create a magically solid team that transports our business dreams into reality.

And today we have just the woman to help us. On this week’s Glambition Radio, Kris Plachy of ‘Lead Your Team’ breaks down team leadership and management into clear and actionable steps to help us get the most out of our teams—and raise our businesses to new levels of success with more clarity, efficiency, and camaraderie.

Kris is someone I consider the unequivocal team leadership and management expert for entrepreneurs like us. After 20+ years of leading, managing, and coaching leaders in corporate, she’s got a fantastic breadth and depth of wisdom around these issues, and breaks them down for us into immediate, simple solutions.

    On this episode, you’ll hear:

Why entrepreneurs like us shy away from ‘management’—and the critical reasons we MUST invest in this aspect of team leadership

The overarching importance of building structure beneath you—so you can apply your energy where it REALLY counts to grow your business

How to know when it’s time to ‘FIRE Myrtle’—and ways to help give her a graceful exit (And she’ll share how to know who your Myrtle is. You might be surprised…)

Kris’s Five Step Management System—and the two foundational starting points to build your powerhouse team

Her surprising college major that she still finds comes in handy at times! (You’ll never guess.)

I was honored Kris hired me earlier this year for a VIP Strategy Day to power up the next level of her business. I was so impressed with her that I hired her myself to help create new frameworks to power up my new team!

Kate Northrup, Author of ‘Do Less’— Glambition® Radio Episode 215 with Ali Brown

Kate Northrup, Author of ‘Do Less’— Glambition® Radio Episode 215 with Ali Brown

Bank accounts fluctuate, business climates combust, life changes, and sometimes we even find ourselves back exactly where we started from. But if there’s one constant in life that women must attune to, it’s the 'inner knowing' of our bodies—because this is the place from which all external success is created. And there's no better time than NOW to tune inward...

Kate Northrup is the author of two books including her newest, ‘Do Less’, as well as ‘Money: A Love Story’. Today on Glambition Radio, Kate dispels the infectious myths that women must trade energy for profit, vitality for notoriety, and sacrifice the natural ebb and flow of our natural monthly cycles to adhere to rigid productivity and time management systems in order to achieve our visions of success.

Kate’s own adventures—and misadventures—with prosperity, being raised by an ‘outlier’ mother (whom you’ll recognize as a pioneer in women’s wellness), and nurturing her own relationship with her body’s wisdom combined for her revolutionary approach to time and energy management for ambitious women.

On this episode of #GlambitionRadio, you’ll hear:

The incredibly useful and predictable inner-cycles that drive both women AND men—and how tapping into these four phases can have a massive impact on abundance and ease

Why relaxation is the key to receptivity—and how Kate’s business experienced a *shocking* increase in profit with LESS effort than ever before

The secret ‘code’ that will crack open life’s operating manual (great news: it’s already installed within each of us!)

Why Kate’s unconventional upbringing was a harbinger of wisdom—and how questioning everything helped her recognize the ONLY truth that matters

Suzanne Somers, Alternative Medicine Champion — Glambition® Radio Episode 214 with Ali Brown

Suzanne Somers, Alternative Medicine Champion — Glambition® Radio Episode 214 with Ali Brown

You remember her as the bright and bubbly Chrissy Snow from the ‘70s sitcom ‘Three’s Company’, or as a Las Vegas entertainer, or even the leggy spokesmodel for the famous Thigh Master. But what you may not know about the author of more than 25 books on life, love, and women’s health + wellness is just how much of an entrepreneurial powerhouse Suzanne Somers really is...

On this episode of Glambition Radio, you’ll hear the myriad ways that Suzanne has established herself as a multi-industry iconoclast—from sharing health + wellness advice contrary to the most ‘prescribed’ of the day, to advocating for pay equity at a time when women didn’t dare ruffle feathers in showbiz. Suzanne is a master at turning lemons into lemonade and seizing opportunity (both personally and professionally), as you’ll hear in this fantastic and FUN interview.

We also discuss a few practical lifestyle tips that can help sustain (or reinvigorate) juicy, thriving relationships and a joie de vivre at any age, thanks to Suzanne’s passion for seeking AND speaking the truth about ultimate wellness and happiness. And we dive into her NEW book ‘A New Way to Age’.

    On #GlambitionRadio, you’ll hear:

Why you don’t choose passion—but passion chooses you (a key takeaway for anyone searching for their purpose or next great contribution)

The price Suzanne has paid for being a controversial voice—and the impact of her worldwide visibility on transforming women’s lives

How Suzanne embraces opportunity to reinvent herself—sometimes drastically—by leveraging failure into even greater successes

Why a case of the ‘I’ll-show-yous’ helped propel Suzanne into stardom… and beyond!

Suzanne’s hilarious ‘7 Dwarves of Menopause’ that shine a humorous light on our inevitable hormonal changes

How THIS evening ritual with her love of 50+ years, Alan Hamel, keeps Suzanne feeling flirty, fun, and full of life (proving that age really is just a number!)

Dafina Smith of Covet & Mane — Glambition® Radio Episode 213 with Ali Brown

Dafina Smith of Covet & Mane — Glambition® Radio Episode 213 with Ali Brown

What do real estate, hip-hop celebrities, and ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ share in common? Dafina Smith’s early career. Winding as her professional path may seem, Dafina’s early experiences honed her business savvy and entrepreneurial spirit to launch her newest venture— Covet & Mane, a luxury hair extension brand that’s disrupting the beauty industry as the ‘Chanel of hair’.

Launched in 2019, Covet & Mane has empowered top salons and stylists to transform their earning potential by innovating and leveraging the power of premier hand-tied extensions.

On today’s #GlambitionRadio, you’ll hear how beauty is a recession-proof business and why Dafina’s Covet & Mane is holding strong through a pandemic, personal upheavals, working from home with twins (I can relate!), and sharing a home office with her spouse, ESPN Sportscenter personality Ryan Smith. In fact, it’s these elements of ‘life surprise’ that make this conversation so relatable.

I also invite Dafina to share her expertise and perspective on #BlackLivesMatter, where you’ll hear her advice for ALL of us. You won’t want to miss this.

    On GlambitionRadio.com, you’ll also hear:

Why running a business that provides high quality at a high price—without guilt—uplifts an entire industry (you’ll learn just how far this ripple effect goes…)

Why Covet & Mane’s hair extensions are taking the beauty industry by surprise—and why you should GO BIG if you’re going to try this hot trend for yourself ;)

The hilarious + heartwarming story of how Dafina and her hubby met (no one was expecting THIS outcome!)

Dafina’s perspective on how we can arm ourselves with weaponized knowledge to confront corruption and mistreatment at big and small social levels (and everywhere in between)

Dafina is also a member of The Trust, and I’ve been impressed with her from the start. I know you’re going to love this interview.

Time to ELEVATE!!

Ali Ali Ali...you never ever fail to deliver the goods, amazing resources and the most inspiring guests on your show. From the moment I saw you on the “Phenomenon” with Dan Kennedy years ago, I knew I would follow and look up to you forever. Because of your philosophies and your podcast, I decided to start my coaching business and podcast a few years ago. I’ve done pretty well, but listening to Glambition Radio each day is helping me to realize that I have been at settling for business as usual. So I have re-engaged and made a new decision to ELEVATE everything in my life and business. I’ve been sharing your podcast with all of my business peers and clients, because I want them to elevate too! I realize I have been holding myself back from hitting 7 Figures. Well that changes today. Time to Re-invent myself!!
