‘Let It Be Easy’ with Susie Moore— Glambition® Radio Episode 285 with Ali Brown

‘Let It Be Easy’ with Susie Moore— Glambition® Radio Episode 285 with Ali Brown

Can it really be… this… EASY? Our guest today says YES… even if you’re in the midst of what feels like a struggle. I have to admit, I’d known OF Susie over the years and felt like I already ‘knew’ her. But then we finally talked (on this episode)! There were SO many things I wasn’t aware of that make both her story and her attitude incredibly rich and inspiring.

Susie spent much of her childhood growing up in domestic violence shelters, driving her to vow that one day she’d create a much different life for herself. But instead of going for what our typical path for success would be, she skipped college and instead opted to travel, live, and work all over the world. I love how she’s created her own version of success while thoroughly enjoying every minute of it. (And this spirit comes through in our interview!)

Susie and her work have been featured on the Today show, Oprah, Business Insider, CNN, Forbes, Time Inc, Marie Claire and … you get the idea. ;) Her new book Let It Be Easy is her third book, which is about simple ways to stop stressing and start living.

On this episode of #GlambitionRadio, Susie shares how her upbringing of struggle is a part of the success she created today, the business models she uses to make AND impact millions – on her own schedule, and more.

On this episode of Glambition Radio, you’ll hear:

Why *confidence* is the ULTIMATE productivity hack (I LOVED this one!)

How Susie discovered life coaching, and what pulled her to pursue this big career change when she was 30

Susie’s ‘good enough’ philosophy, and how to implement it in your own life and business, while still maintaining high standards

Advice on how to finally embrace BIG VISIBILITY – so you can be discovered in a greater way, and get more done in less time

How we are both NOT convinced that a *university degree* is a must for anyone these days. (I am not attached to my own twins going to college, and I explain why.)

Plus, you DON’T want to miss us getting fired up about *the RELAXED, successful woman rebellion* (and why you want to be a part of it)!

Healing Women Physicians with Dr. Sunny Smith — Glambition® Radio Episode 284 with Ali Brown

Healing Women Physicians with Dr. Sunny Smith — Glambition® Radio Episode 284 with Ali Brown

After being so overworked with up to 80 hour weeks that she fell into a 10-day *coma*, Sunny Smith, M.D., vowed to not only change her life, but the life of the other female physicians in the same situation. But the true ‘how’ didn’t appear before her, until another unfortunate accident years later (while biking in Moorea)  forced her to once again not only slow down but also consider her next chapter. And that is precisely when she discovered the incredible skill-set of coaching.

Soon after, Sunny founded Empowering Women Physicians, the most comprehensive and collaborative coaching program for women physicians that has been documented to decrease burnout, increase professional fulfillment, and increase self-compassion.

But it’s Sunny’s full story that gets me every time, as I take in her immense compassion for other humans both in and out of her field.

On this raw and heartfelt episode of #GlambitionRadio, Sunny opens up about her experiences and conversations as both a medical doctor and clinical professor, shares how her work is helping so many other female professionals within the medical community, and gives us rare glimpses into the mysterious world of the medical field.

On this episode of #GlambitionRadio, you’ll hear:

What inspired Sunny to pursue a path in medicine from an early age, as the daughter of a professional hockey player

How she met the Dalai Lama, and what he said that she can’t forget.

The lucky scenario that got her into her top choice med school … after being at THE BOTTOM of the list!

How Sunny’s coma experience ended up on a major TV show, and where you can still watch it (I’ve seen and it’s very emotional)

Sunny’s mission to empower more physicians to become multi-faceted, fulfilled women who are much more than their medical degrees

It’s been such an honor to be privy to Sunny’s story, as she has been a private client and is a member of The Trust. This is one you won’t want to miss, and you may want to have the tissues handy.

Doing Business ‘Backwards’ with Emily Aarons — Glambition® Radio Episode 283 with Ali Brown

Doing Business ‘Backwards’ with Emily Aarons — Glambition® Radio Episode 283 with Ali Brown

As high-achieving women, we often don’t consider how much we’re operating in our *masculine* energy. And we assume that business is supposed to feel hard — and even at times unenjoyable. Could there really be another way? And if so, would it actually feel ‘backwards’ compared with how we’ve been trained to do business?

But today’s Glambition Radio guest, Emily Aarons, is all about making quantum leaps in your business *without* more hustle. It all changes when you learn how to tap into your feminine energy, trust your intuition, and give yourself permission to say ‘NO’ to the tactics and strategies that feel out of alignment.

Emily is best known for helping entrepreneurs tap into their intuitive powers, but oddly enough, she never thought she was born with the gift of intuition herself. And on the show she shares this journey on reclaiming this natural human power, and how we can do it too.

For over two decades, she has been practicing healing work directly with powerful visionaries and teaching them how to tap into their intuition to activate quantum growth in their business. Emily is the creator of the Angels In Your Biz Oracle Card Deck and Aligned + Unstoppable Personal Journal, and is the host of the top podcast ‘Aligned + Unstoppable’. And I’m honored to say she’s attended both my ‘ICONIC 2021: Liberation’ and Creative Strategy Workshop events over the past year. :)

On this episode of #GlambitionRadio, you’ll hear:

What energy healing really IS… and ways to maintain energetic alignment

How Emily built her personal brand to nearly one million dollars in less than 4 years by ‘doing business backwards’ (I loved this)

How to connect with your higher self and ‘soulmate clients’ through simple, everyday practices

Ways to give yourself permission to NOT do the things you don’t want to do in business and life (this is new for most women – could it really feel this good?)

Plus… why Emily wore crystals in her bra at my events! (This made me laugh, but I totally get it.)

Best of all, you’ll love Emily’s three pieces of advice for women entrepreneurs who want to experience quantum growth *without* burnout.

Launching the Lash Revolution with Anna Phillips of The Lash Lounge® — Glambition® Radio Episode 282 with Ali Brown

Launching the Lash Revolution with Anna Phillips of The Lash Lounge® — Glambition® Radio Episode 282 with Ali Brown

LASHES… they’re everywhere, and now many of us can’t go without them. They’ve become a lucrative category within the business of beauty. But where did this eyelash extension trend come from in the first place, when did it happen, and who really took it mainstream?

Meet Anna Phillips, founder and chief innovation officer of The Lash Lounge, who first spotted the semi-permanent lash opportunity that had just arrived from overseas back in 2003. And she’s sharing her WHOLE story today on #GlambitionRadio!

After testing out her own salon doing nothing but lashes, she knew it was time to lead the U.S. lash revolution (before somebody else did). And in 2006, The Lash Lounge was born, pioneering a new vertical in the beauty industry.

Today, they boast more than 115 locations across the U.S. in more than 30 states, and the trend continues to grow.

Anna’s passion for helping others feel beautiful, confident, and cared for has fueled her unparalleled success—transforming her original single-room salon into a national brand that has had an impact on more than 90,000 clients nationwide!

Listen to the full episode at GlambitionRadio.com to learn:

Anna’s vacation plan that led to the ‘lightbulb moment’ she needed to open the very first Lash Lounge.

How Anna made sure she continued to gain market share and remain relevant when a competitor entered the market in 2013

What she did during the pandemic to maintain customer loyalty and stay top-of-mind (that many other subscription-based service business did not do)

Things to consider before franchising your business or becoming a franchisee of a brand. (It’s a WHOLE different game! But a powerful one.)

Anna’s plans for incorporating technology (like virtual reality) into her beauty business to enhance the experience for customers and employees

And… why yours truly loves her lashes, and it’s now become a regular part of my beauty routine.

Plus, you’ll want to hear how Anna’s husband reacted when she first told him her idea of opening up a boutique lash studio! ;)

Critical + Creative Thinking with Julie Bogart — Glambition® Radio Episode 281 with Ali Brown

In today’s society, it’s become increasingly important to examine different perspectives with both curiosity and discernment. But how do we nurture this — both in ourselves and in our children? Enter Julie Bogart, whose new book on the topic of critical thinking prompted me to invite her onto an Instagram live just a few weeks ago. Our conversation was SO good that I said, ‘We’ve got to also get this on Glambition Radio!’ So I’ve brought it to you here.

Julie Bogart is the founder of the innovative writing program ‘Brave Writer’ and has served tens of thousands of families in over 190 countries throughout the past 22 years. She’s a mother to five home-educated children, who are now thriving, globe-trotting adults. Julie is the author of the best-selling book, ‘The Brave Learner’ and host of the popular Brave Writer podcast. Her newest book, ‘Raising Critical Thinkers’, was released in February 2022 and is a must-read.

On this episode of #GlambitionRadio, Julie shares how deep, critical conversations are the catalyst for creating meaningful connections, whether it’s with our children, clients, or business partners. She explains how everyday occurrences are opportunities to unlock innovative ideas, new perspectives, and uncommon thoughts, proving that deep listening and empathy are key to remaining a leader in your industry.

    In this episode, you’ll hear:

What critical thinking really is, and why it’s now more important than ever

The psychology behind why people are so loyal to their beliefs, and how to use it to effectively speak to your tribe

Links between critical and creative thinking, and when/how to use each

Some of Julie’s unique exercises to unlock creative thinking at will

Julie’s top strategy for entrepreneurs who want to go from a “kitchen table” business to a global online brand (she grew her own online business rapidly over the past two years)

‘Intentional Congruence’ with Entrepreneur Jessica Mead — Glambition® Radio Episode 280 with Ali Brown

As the oldest of seven children to a single mother who had her fair share of entrepreneurial failures, Jessica Mead knew early on that she never wanted to be an entrepreneur. But today she is cofounder of dozens of successful companies with a reported combined valuation topping $100M.

Jessica is the founder + CEO of Brandlync, a managing partner of Drivonic and the co-founder of The Epek Companies and Mead Holdings Group with a combined valuation topping $100M, and a portfolio of angel investments that encompasses more than 20 companies. In addition to her business acumen, Jessica is a ‘hands on’ expert in alternative, supplemental, and customized education. She has also homeschooled her two children, creating her own curriculum and assessment of learning styles.

On today’s episode of #GlambitionRadio, you’ll hear how Jessica built a multi-million dollar business portfolio without an online presence and why today she’s finally stepping into her own personal brand. She also shares the story of how she started homeschooling before it was “cool” and how she has developed such an expertise and passion for alternative, customized education.

Jessica opens up about the positives of the pandemic for students and families, how she leads with “intentional congruence” in her family-first model in life+business, and about her book, ‘Firework Humans: Spark A Growth Mindset. Ignite 9 Entrepreneurial Instincts. Fuel Courage, Curiosity, Confidence, & Conviction.’

On this episode of Glambition Radio, you’ll hear:

What that changed Jessica’s mind about entrepreneurship after associating it with being hungry and homeless as a child and young adult.

The $28M acquisition deal she lost due to not having an online presence

More about the two factors on which she bases her business and investment decisions: market need and knowing the numbers

How to feel empowered to homeschool your children, including tips on understanding learning styles and curriculum formation

Jessica’s side-hobby as a licensed helicopter pilot, referring to herself as a ‘dare-devil rainmaker’ who never backs down from a challenge.

Love! Love! Love Glambition Radio!

I’ve been following Ali Brown for years. I stared listening to Glambition Radio since day 1. I find as a business owner that the podcasts speak to me. If you’re a business owner and you have not listened, I recommend you give it a listen. I have read all of Dana Perino’s books and this was an amazing real talk these ladies had. It’s one of my favorite Glambition Radio podcasts!

I used to love this podcast

When Ali interviews business experts this podcast is amazing. Now that she is pushing crazy people I am not sure I can continue to listen. She really should have stuck to interviewing people about business and avoided people touting fake science.

Ali, you have a beautiful way of interviewing your guests, where you listen more than you speak, and your thoughtful questions bring out amazing stories of your guests. What a beautiful episode with Bertha Gonzalez. She is so incredibly smart and passionate about her tequila. I will definitely be trying her product.
