    Workshop/APD

An education in the arts and humanities prepares students to be problem solvers, to advocate for themselves, and to chart the course of their lives and careers. For Lehigh Class of 1994 alumni Matt Berman, Andrew Kotchen, and Tom Zoli, their experiences in the department of Art, Architecture, and Design taught them how to build their own futures—together. The founding principals and principal architects of award-winning design firm Workshop/APD recently came back to campus to share their stories, from Lehigh memories of all-nighters in Chandler-Ullmann Hall to their firm’s evolving legacy: the next generation of architects they’re inspiring.

Another perspective

I have to say that this podcast is a really great peek into how Lehigh University has shaped the lives of so many people. Hearing their stories and LU’s impact is also a reminder of what I have enjoyed and appreciated most about this place I have called home for four years. I feel inspired and motivated to continue harnessing my own “go-getterness” as I transition out of Lehigh.

Make everyday counts! Thanks Tony and Debbie!

At the very first year in Lehigh when I met Tony, I was just diagnosed with vitiligo by my doctor, very frustrated, broke up with my girlfriend, had a severe quarrel with my parents, struggling to live in this country as a foreigner. I can’t understand why someone like Tony can keep a good mood and a happy, smiling face every day when I ordered my sandwiches, especially in the chilling, icy and snowy winter. I even asked him why he is always so happy with courage, obviously he didn’t get the message due to my poor, horrible English but he is such a humble, kind man, he gave a smile to me as his reply, told me “the sandwich will be ready soon”. Now after listening to this podcast, I finally found the reason why he can be happy every day no matter how bad the weather is: do what you love! Thank you Tony and Debbie!

GO and listen.

This is an informative and entertaining series for the #Lehigh family to stay connected with the University and its influencers who are shaping the next generation of leaders.
